Starts tonight 9pm
Family drama that flashes forward into the future.

The car Stephen was driving to the dad's funeral (an Audi?) was a hire car so would be fairly shiny and new anyway then at the funeral their half-brother Steven presumes it's his actual car and mentions that Stephen always did like having a shiny new motor. The car Bethany and her friend drove to Liverpool had an auto-drive option so possibly future cars have less prangs and scrapes.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 11/06/2019 09:39

That hand phone is stupid

She still needs the actual phone and it means one hand is out of action!

MauisHouseOnMaui · 11/06/2019 09:40

And with a petrol top-up costing £100 people are probably driving less often and only using their car when it's essential so they stay in better condition for longer, bikes seem to be really common.

Oh dear, I guess we’ll need more tissues for tonight’s episode? Haven’t watched any trailers but always seems to be emotional!

SimonJT · 11/06/2019 20:49

The urge to make a tissue related joke is overwhelming.

I am going to watch tonights episode, but I really don’t want to.

Jellykat · 11/06/2019 21:13

Anyone else bugged by the fact that the sister in the wheelchairs partner, changed last week? It was originally him from Hearsay.

SimonJT · 11/06/2019 21:14

I thought the Hearsay man was the guy who shagged the robot?

Jellykat · 11/06/2019 21:20

Ah, i must've missed her getting rid and getting new man.. stupid me!

QueenOfTheAndals · 11/06/2019 22:04

Poor Victor Sad I hope that bald cunt gets what he deserves Angry

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/06/2019 22:09

I found the description of the Boer war concentration camps interesting - it implied that they aren't common knowledge?

Ratatouille76 · 11/06/2019 22:11

Think its lost its way a bit. Just not the same without Danny.

TheZeppo · 11/06/2019 22:11

I do think the end will go back to the first hospital scene where they meet baby Lincoln, with maybe Viv appearing on TV to warn that the future they’ve envisaged may still come to pass if nothing changes.

Poor Viktor Sad that said, I thought the grieving after looking in the fridge was brilliantly well done.

Loving the hint that Viv is just the face and the real baddies are hiding behind her and controlling the strings.

Did smile at the 80 days of rain given the weather here recently!

cardibach · 11/06/2019 22:13

Kitten it more implied that nobody cares about them. Which is broadly why we don’t talk about them much. Any reasonably educated person knows they existed we just...pretend they didn’t. And Viv is saying the same will happen again. They can disappear loads of people and most people, those it doesn’t directly affect, will ignore it. I think she’s right. It’s the way things are right now - lots of facts being wilfully ignored if they don’t fit someone’s agenda. Scary.

LoafofSellotape · 11/06/2019 22:16

Oh blimey we have mallecular degeneration in our family, I really hope there is a £10k cure at some point !

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/06/2019 22:19

She said about remembering, but maybe Cardibach.
dd said they weren't taught about them, or even the Boer war in school.

CanILeavenowplease · 11/06/2019 22:19

So who’s behind Viv? Any guesses? I just can’t get over the way that went and the apparent speed of it.
