Mine is Alley McBeal and then Peisoner Cell Block H, I used to watch H In the early hours after a night shift.

Oh most definitely Hill St Blues

Disfordarkchocolate · 11/05/2019 15:59

NYPD Blues with the wonderful Dennis Franz. Jimmy Smits dying had me in floods of tears, not sure I could watch that again.

Anyone remember Forever Green?
Like the sound of the last train one!

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 11/05/2019 16:22

LA Law. I recently bought all of those on dvd from Amazon. It's not the same though, it's so dated now.

Same with Ally McBeal but loved it at the time.

ScarletPower · 11/05/2019 16:38

Having read the book by Shirley Conran, I would really like to watch Lace, which was a mini-series in the 1980's but I can't find it anywhere.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 11/05/2019 16:44

Maisie Raine with Pauline Quirke, it's on Drama at 5pm today but I've never seen the whole series and it's not available on dvd.

BiBiBirdie · 11/05/2019 16:47

As If
It used to be on in a Sunday on E4. It's never been repeated, not on DVD/Prime/Netflix or even All4 as they couldn't get permission over the music they used.
I missed the last series as well.

Shine on Harvey Moon
Spitting Image

cookielove · 11/05/2019 17:53

Tenko

groundcontroltomontydon · 11/05/2019 19:02

Soap. I remember watching it when I was v little. I loved Billy Crystal's character, Jodie.
This is the story of two sisters, Jessica Tate and Mary Campbell. These are the Tates and these are the Campbells and this is Soap!

Cherrypi · 11/05/2019 19:21

Crime traveller.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/05/2019 19:26

The Sculptress (Pauline Quirke in main role)

Between The Lines - very dated now I think

Ihatesundays · 12/05/2019 19:48

I’m sure I watched The Sculptress on YouTube

southeastdweller · 12/05/2019 21:33

An obscure BBC sitcom from the late 80s called No Frills - it starred Kathy Staff / Nora Batty as a battle-axe type.

Seaview - a BBC kids show set in a B&B in Blackpool. Yvette Fielding played the main character's older sister.

fedup21 · 12/05/2019 21:36

Does anyone remember a schools program called Dark Towers? I think it was a literacy/Words and Pictures type series- the big telly used to get wheeled into the school hall for us all to watch it. It was very spooky!

Bakingberry · 12/05/2019 21:42

Knots Landing, I can't find it anywhere to watch.

MorrisZapp · 13/05/2019 09:18

Seaview was great! There was a gag in it about Ballachulish, I still remember it.

Also Spit McPhee, Seven Little Australians, the Strange Affair of Adelaide Harris, Children of Fire Mountain and the wonderful Heidi.

I'm sure I could see some of these on YouTube etc but the quality would be poor and looking at old kids shows with their creaky production values often disappoints. Mind you, DS has just read Huckleberry Finn at school and I had to Google the old eighties show.

Try to remember
Days long forgotten
When living was easy
And neighbours were friends

Sniff...

MorrisZapp · 13/05/2019 09:20

Also Point Break, about a working class tennis prodigy. Proper social realism that was, top drama. I yearned to be the posh little blonde in tennis whites. Maybe she's a mumsnetter now?

redhotchill · 13/05/2019 09:31

Out of Control with Tamsin Outhwaite. Her son was a young offender bullied in prison.

Single Married Other - great drama, had me in bits

EngagedAgain · 13/05/2019 21:46

ScarletPower- I am pretty sure it was on one of the freeview channels just a couple of years ago, so there's a chance it would be on again I suppose. I saw it first time round too, but the gap between was long enough to enjoy it again. I would like to see again, I think it was war and peace, with Robert Mitchum.

ilovepixie · 13/05/2019 23:18

I would love to see V the mini series about aliens again.

Binglebong · 14/05/2019 23:00

The Amazing Mrs Pritchard. So relevant right now too.

Kids tv: The Girl From Tomorrow. I did manage to track down a terrible book of the first series but would love to see it again.

lazymum99 · 15/05/2019 08:31

Soap
War and Peace with Anthony Hopkins
Bouquet of Barbed Wire with Frank Finlay

I think you can guess my age!

Do they still show The Waltons.

peachsquish · 15/05/2019 10:23

Growing Rich

Barefootinthecarpark · 15/05/2019 17:59

Glasgow Kiss: Ian Glenn and Sharon Small. So romantic
