Hail survivors of The Battle of Winterfell.

The 'mysterious' episode 4 premieres tonight.

Who will be with us at 2am?

I am desperate to find out if Arya's kill is openly discussed and acknowledged, or does Bran take the credit, or does it remain a mystery.

Given Emilia Clarke has said Episode 5 is the one for which we will need 'bigger television screens' what will lead up to it?

Place marking! (Too keen)

Who actually stays up til 2 to watch?

OneInAMillionYou · 05/05/2019 14:40

Hi Alice

I always watch live at 2 am, will nap for a few hours later!

Tomorrow is a Bank Holiday in the UK so maybe a few more people will be staying up?

Less than 12 hours to go 👍🏻

Sorry was so keen to mark the thread I didn’t read the first post! So I did just actually mean who will be watching at 2 rather than later 🙈

I think Arya’s role in killing the NK needs to be acknowledged and I expect to see Cersei this week.

itswinetime · 05/05/2019 14:44

I'm hoping to watch at 2 but it's not looking hopeful at the moment so Im Probably going to do an early morning watch.

I hope the address Arya killing the night king girl deserves some credit! Be interesting to see what's been happening in kings landing after 2 episodes of nothing although I think j in the show it's only been about 24hrs do not that exciting probably

I’m off work at the moment so don’t have to get up early anyway but been going to be around 1 and then wake up early so trying not to stay up so late.

Tempted tonight but they’re long episodes too!

👵

agirlhasnonameX · 05/05/2019 14:51

Staying up again, despite telling myself I'm not doing it next week for the past three weeks 😂

Looking forward to a less intense episode so I can actually breathe through the show, although always watch last weeks before the new one!

I have a horrible feeling Brienne is going to be bleeding out during tonights episode though. She's not anywhere in the trailer Sad

itswinetime · 05/05/2019 14:57

My problem with staying up is keeping focused till the end in better watching with fresh eyes after some sleep I take it in better

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/05/2019 15:15

Marking place for later! V excited.

LaurieMarlow · 05/05/2019 15:28

Place marking. Don’t think I’ll stay up though. I might for the last one.

MyOtherProfile · 05/05/2019 16:00

Just checking in.

bowchicapewpew · 05/05/2019 16:01

Oh yehhh
Predictions for the great war at kings landing??

Abra1de · 05/05/2019 16:08

I was so annoyed last week because early Monday our time I innocently googled on the Arya/Bran knife to remind myself of its history and there was the spoiler already posted, clearly stating that Arya was the NK-assassin.

Abra1de · 05/05/2019 16:09

And it wasn’t a newspaper or online review, it was wiki.

SpeckofStardust · 05/05/2019 16:14

I’ll be around but it’s not a hardship for me to stay up since where I live (West coast USA) it’ll be airing at 6pm. We’re invited to a Cinco de Mayo bbq party starting around noon so while we won’t be eating and running exactly we’ll be making our excuses around 4pm in order to get home with plenty of time to get cats fed and get comfy ready to watch.

CalmConfident · 05/05/2019 16:30

Stealthy 2am watcher here! Go to bed early, then get up just before it starts. Just too impatient :)

Abra1de · 05/05/2019 16:49

Episode 3 question...

If they were all using dragon glass or valerian steel against the White Walkers, why didn’t Theon just throw that spear at the NK instead if fruitlessly charging at him?

TheQueef · 05/05/2019 16:56

Just had a big nap so I can wake at two.
This has to be Cersies episode surely? What she's got in store and who.
Better not be down and bowl.
I want the mountain to charge in sacrificing himself for the hound. Killing most of the golden co!

MrsPlesWearsAFez · 05/05/2019 17:00

I have to watch once it's hit NowTV after the live stream. Tend to go to bed, then get up around 3:30am for the viewing and an early start.

It makes sense that Ep 5 will be another "big battle" one, as it's the same director from Ep 3 and BotB.

It occurred to me the other day that there was potentially some significance to the theme of 'stabbing in the heart', with the random first man being stabbed in the heart with Dragonglass by the children of the forest to become the Night King, and Jon Snow being stabbed through the heart whilst he was Lord Commander, before being brought back by Melisandre and the Lord of Light.

It would also tie together (potentially) the book "Night's King" being a Lord Commander angle.

I'm sure it exists elsewhere as a better fleshed out theory, but it just sort of clicked together whilst I was in the shower, and I can't help but think that it'd be quite the coincidence?

Excited for tonight/tomorrow's episode. Will be sad when it's all over though.

OrianaBanana · 05/05/2019 17:06

Abra1de Maybe he wasn’t very good at throwing. He was dead if he missed anyway so he may as well try and get it as accurate as possible.

OrianaBanana · 05/05/2019 17:06

Or perhaps he wanted death. He did fairly often in the books.

Abra1de · 05/05/2019 17:09

Thank you Oriana.

DeadWife · 05/05/2019 17:16

Thanks for new thread One.

Stayed up last week but then resembled a white walker for about 24hrs - doesn't help being naturally pale.

Probably will anyway :)

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 05/05/2019 17:22

I'm not staying up, I'm very much a morning person and would rather be able to follow it! I'll be stuck into it by 6:30, I'd say, and the kids will be under strict instructions to badger DH if they want anything!

I have a sneaking suspicion most of the theories are redundant at this stage; it doesn't feel like there's time for a huge amount of plot development now. I think it'll all be simpler than we expect.

NunoGoncalves · 05/05/2019 17:23

Place marking.

I imagine this episode will be physical and political manoeuvring before the big battle at king's landing in episode 5.
