Andy is starting the London marathon this morning, as in , getting the runners to start- I don't think he's running.

Amelie Mauresmo is starting and running the race though!

And I can really imagine AC preening in front of a mirror- getting his hair just right .

enjoyed catching up on the late night AC chat! And lovely to have another glimpse of young Ozzy Jane I will post Tristan from All Creatures Great and Small again if you're not careful

Ah yes I remember now about Andy starting the marathon. I can imagine him loving that. I didn't know Amelie was running it though!

The problem with the marathon, is i get sucked into watching it. And I have things to do.

But the way this morning is going, I will still be sitting here at 1pm, watching people dressed as Minions running along Tower Bridge .

Raahh so true, I'm the same. I get quite invested in it, god knows why!

The highlights programme makes me cry

Oh yes they love to tug on the old heartstrings don't they?! Although tbf it's not that hard to make me cry - I'll cry at anything, it's pathetic!!

Eg the Beeb's Wimbledon closing montage always brings tears to my eyes! Although I don't know if they've done a proper one the last couple of years - we might have discussed this at the time iirc?

The best one they ever did was when Goran won and they played that Avalanches song that goes "That boy needs therapy" - because of the Three Gorans thing!! Not sure they'd do that now!

PS Jane every time this page loads I get the picture of Ozzy coming up as it's the first post on the page!! Every single time! Arghhh!!

Mind you, they make me teary, because they signify the end of the tournament.

They haven't played the 'proper' Wimbledon closing music for years, apparently. But it's only in the last couple of years that I have really noticed!

Fizzy he made it quite clear, running is not his thing at the moment. But he did say Kim ran it a few years back.

I used to love the traditional end of Wimbledon music - always brought a tear to my eye as well - maybe we ought to start a petition to bring it back?

Same Fizzy - I saw about 2 minutes of it at the end. Not sure what happened to Medvedev, I think he was a break up at one stage. But I'm pleased for Thiem, he deserves it I think.

Also I see Kvitova won today, the first repeat title winner on the WTA this year finally! I really hope she can win another Slam one of these days.

Raahh did you see the Big Ben marathon runner - s/he got stuck under the arch thingy at the finish line as their costume was too high!! A marshall had to come to their aid so they could cross the line!!

Well one to Dom, when I first looked, Medvedev had a break in the first, and I thought he might be onto a winner. I don't think he managed to win another game after that!

I did notice that Tim Mayotte, who we mentioned not long ago, is running as a candidate to replace Gimelstob when the player council (? I think) votes next month. Go Tim!
