I want to see a "most haunted" type TV show visit Button Hall in series two. Of course they will see nothing while Robin burns out the lights and Julian moves things about.

Yes, Yvette fielding could go there with her cronies and fake finding the ghosts, like they normally do and they'd be looking in the wrong places but we'd be able to see where the ghosts really were 😂

The Captain is undeniably gorgeous but isn't as sexy as the actor normally is eg when he was Philip II of Spain. Just like Thomas isn't as sexy as when the actor played Dick Turpin for example.

The sexiest one in Ghosts is definitely Humphrey.

I think it must have a great deal to do with the uniform for Captain Sexy. Usually when ranking the cast of HH for gorgeousness Matt Baynton is usually at the top of my list. He's a bit more ruffled which is more my type. However on this occasion.....

Have only watched episodes 1 and 2 on iPlayer so far but love it. dp and dd have watched all and have their fingers crossed for another series (or many). We are all massive original cast HH fans anyway though.

I wonder if Robin ever had a family? I feel misty eyed just thinking about it.

Oh I regularly compare and contrast the sexiness of the HH lot so will take a place at the bench.

Ben Willbond astonishes me with how he can look amazing in any outfit. He even looks sexy as a plague victim in the cellar. Mat Baynton is so skinny looking in a toga but there is just something incredible about him. His dancing is sexy as hell as her jumps around. He's very very fit. And his Dick Turpin and Charles II do funny things to me.

Simon Farnaby is stunning too, and very capable looking. Jim Howick's eyes are incredibly sexy. And I love his Brunel and Blackbeard.

Laurence Rickard is handsome, funny and clever. Even as Robin. A very sexy man.

And so on any given day I can have a different favourite. They're all lovely.

Curious as to why the plague ghosts were trapped there as presumably they had died elsewhere and were just dumped in the pit

I assume they were all living very locally i.e. the village /hamlet that served the hall providing the estate workers it wouldn't be like London with bodies shipped off to Gravesend so they will have died very near by. Unlike the upstairs ghosts they were already a community, they would have lived in the village/hamlet at the same time and died at much the same time whereas the upstairs ghosts didn't know each other in life and only met as ghosts. Presumably that's why the plague victims choose to stay together in the cellar when they could head upstairs or even outside if their "range" is the same as the named ghosts.

Or, horrible thought, perhaps there was some sort of horrible quarantine going on, so that anyone who got the plague was rounded up and locked away to stop them infecting others? That would be a very traumatic death, away from family, and might explain why they became ghosts?
