That’s s great idea. Kitty could be from the 1920s-1960s, just having had a fairly sheltered upbringing. She could be something massively unexpected like a Bletchley Park code breaker.

True, I guess she is too naive to be from recent times. Just an idea, as you say we don't really know much about Kitty. I don't think she is anything to do with the Buttons or she would make a big deal about being related to Alison.

I always over analyse programmes I love!
Best not to think too deeply about possible inconsistencies about how /where they died versus where they are buried and what they are wearing!

DH got very confused about the plague pit ghosts as he thought it was the same characters not just actors.

Every time I see Kitty she reminds me of Dido Elizabeth Belle who was a black girl brought up as a member of a British aristocratic family in the late 18th century. I feel this would be her connection and the dress is right I think.....

Daley must have been very young when his dad died. I bet he was named after Daley Thompson. If I'd had a baby in the early 80s I'd probably have been tempted to call it Daley. He was amazing.
