I think Victoria was raped by Ellis and she stabbed him out of self defense or Billy saw what happened and stabbed him. When Amy told Victoria about Ellis I think there’s more of a reason why she didn’t want to see him in hospital.

Have I missed an episode?? The last episode I watched was Priya seeing Maya and Jacob kissing the next episode on iPlayer Ellis has been stabbed and Maya missing? Im confused 🤷‍♀️

I’ve realised what’s happened, I’ve not missed an episode, what’s happened is everything is going to be revealed over next couple of weeks apparently....... I thought I had missed Maya being murdered, Ellis being stabbed, Victoria attacked, Rhona being unfaithful but all is to be revealed, far too sophisticated for me!

I thought I was going mad too. What a shit way of going about it after all that build up.

It's all so frustrating.I thought the Maya story was finally going to get resolved this week and now it's still being dragged on.

I thought the whole point of the storyline was to highlight the issues of grooming and abuse and it's just turned into the usual soap story of vigilante violence/murder or whatever has happened.
I would have hoped that any kids watching who are going through the same abuse would get to see her losing her job, being arrested etc and Jacob getting support and help. Instead we have Lelya his own Mum insisting on keeping it all a big secret and saying it's the best thing for Jacob

I really hope it's going to get a decent outcome eventually.

I agree Right turning the Maya plot into a vigilante storyline is awful, it should have been dealt with in a serious manner, police, social services etc, a very poor turn of events.

I've caught up. Yes to the nightclub setting being stupid with the random selection of some characters. And what the hell kind of I.D does anyone have where they show a card to a bouncer who scans it and the image of the ID projects for all to see?! It's like something out of cartoon. I know nightclub atmospheres are hard to evoke on TV but they could have employed a few more extras and done better lighting - as it is it felt like they were all out clubbing on a weekday afternoon.

A responsible and intelligent ending to the Maya story is something that the writers seemingly can't do. I remember the Whitney and Cleo abuse stories in EastEnders and Hollyoaks and they were done much better.

ARghhh! I hate that they’ve taken this route with Maya!! Clearly Layla has done something that Tracey and priya don’t know about. Maybe she went back again after they were home and pushed her in the river. She really didn’t want them to go nearby the river when they were searching for her. Hate it so much. Do it properly. Get maya arrested and in prison. So stupid doing it this way.

Victoria: no way would Billay or Ellis rape her. I’m wondering if Max did and somehow Ellis and Billay saw it happening and intervened, Billay dropped his knife and max picked it up and stabbed Ellis. But Billay is being far too shifty for it to be that. If it was that there would be no reason to hide it. It’s something else.

If Billay and/or Ellis knew Victoria had been attacked they would have tried to contact her to see if she was ok. Ellis would have asked about her as soon as he woke up.

BTW did anyone else breathe a sigh of relief when they didn’t show us Matty’s chest?

I have such mixed feelings about the surgery. I like Matty and the actor who plays him seems like a lovely person. However, having to make such drastic changes to your body in order to feel like yourself makes me sad even though it's making him happy IYSWIM.

I actually don’t like the Matty character. Or at least I don’t like how they are writing him. Last nights episode was very weird the way he and Moira interacted. She was treating him like a little boy with a boo boo and babying him and he was totally acting like one! Not an adult man who has lived away from home for years.

I like that vulnerable side he has though because Hannah was a lot like that so it feels realistic that Matty is too.

Yes I suppose Hannah was very childlike but she was also just a teenager when she left, Matty has had several years away on his own as an adult. It just looks weird seeing a grown man being babied by his mum. Maybe they’ve both regressed to when he was a small child as a coping mechanism for the stress of it all [grin
