She says an F for everything that should be th. Samanfa, somefing, pwoud, everyfing, dwinking etc etc (yes I am pathetic to notice this BUT it drives me insane)

MrsCatE · 27/04/2019 22:00

In my head, I can hear Caroline Ahearne (RIP) narrating the story line in her Royle Family persona but then it morphs into my own evil voiceover:
'Baby Paul (i.e Big Paul) has thrown his toys out of his pram at 'wrong' cheese toastie and stomped off to suck his thumb at Nan Gaynor's. She understands why he can't use a tin opener'.
"Because he's a big 'ickle boy - ooh yes, he is!" "Nasty woman who stole mummy's 'ickle squidge doesn't know how to look after him properly, does she? Big Paul needs more time off with just Baby Paul and his MeeMaw"

Monalisa3 · 28/04/2019 07:31

I have a different take on Sam and Big Paul. I think he just absolutely loathes being on the show and having the cameras around and Sam (who I think could be a bit domineering) has chosen a fairly pliable partner, controls the purse strings and insists that he participates. In turn he’s reacting badly to the lack of control he has over his life and the loss of the breadwinner role many men enjoy - he picks holes in whatever Sam says and is a bit contrary about some aspects of parenting to try to assert some independence.

WeMarchOn · 28/04/2019 08:09

@Monalisa3 Narcissism no?

vjg13 · 28/04/2019 08:29

It's all a bit cringe with Big Paul. He has a weird smirk on his face when he interacts with Sam. I'm sure he'll put his foot down and the nursery experiment won't happen again. I've got a feeling Sam will get pregnant if he doesn't propose to keep them 'interesting'!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 28/04/2019 09:30

Monalisa3 I see it as that too

Strugglingmum73 · 28/04/2019 09:47

I’m surprised there will be another two series. This one has been a bit dull.

Nicecupofcoco · 28/04/2019 10:26

Bit late to the thread, but I too have found this series abit boring, this wedding talk seems to have dragged on and on!
I do like billie and Greg though, I find them much more real than Sam and big Paul! Think billies a great mum, and Greg adores his family, think both him and billie tend to voice their opinions to each other, which sometimes ends in a row, but I think they are fab toether!
Big Paul is just insecure and controlling over Sam, constantly undermining her, and putting her down! He didn't even like it when she carried her own case down the stairs, because she didn't need him to do it! All the kids are cute, nellys one liners are funny but obviously very staged!

Sagradafamiliar · 28/04/2019 10:57

I hope the new series opens with Sam having left useless manchild Paul and follows her new 'journey' as a single mother. Ferne McCann can step in when they go away on holidays for the show.
Sam is such a warm mother and seems to worship the ground Paul walks on. Meanwhile he's reaping the benefits of being with her complete with money, endless freebies and sponsorships having gone from living at home with his mirror image mummy, adding nothing of his own. He just lumbers around taking taking taking and throwing in the odd 'behold I'm a man' demand.

mrssunshinexxx · 01/05/2019 21:25

Anyone watching x

wendz86 · 01/05/2019 21:27

I'm watching, making me want to go to the Maldives!

chickenalapesh · 01/05/2019 21:38

Their dad is such a cutie. Although I would be upset if that was my dad (actually fuming)! But he's so lovely :)

Dickorydockwhatthe · 01/05/2019 21:40

Do you think sam’s looks airbrushed during the interviews??

Dickorydockwhatthe · 01/05/2019 21:41

Looks like she has a filter or something xx

Laodamia · 01/05/2019 21:46

Major filters on both of them! Grin

Beaniebeemer · 01/05/2019 21:58

Sam and Billie both turn 30 next year so they will string that out over the next series no doubt.

Dickorydockwhatthe · 01/05/2019 22:51

Billie did look lovely and loved her veil. Sam and Paul are definitely nit going to last

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 01/05/2019 22:52

Was nice to see the wedding- loved all the dresses and the whole look of it- however, at £2500 a night I would be livid having to share an island with that lot.

Oh and side note: ferne mccann dragging her mum along to babysit yet again I see! This woman has more help than most married mothers but loves to sell herself as the single mother sob story

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/05/2019 23:02

Omg can you imagine being on the island with that rabble?!!! And the constant chanting drives me bananasHmm

OneInAMillionYou · 02/05/2019 01:00

I agree, the chanting is so unnecessary
It's repetitive, unoriginal and boring as fuck.

And yes, they may have booked a private space, but that level of noise would carry over the whole island. I would hate it.

Billie looked sensational, apart from the stripy highlighter! 😀 She really doesn't need that much make up.
I found the ceremony very moving, I always cry at weddings, all that hope and optimism.

Their dad Dave is the most real character in the show. Yes he definitely cocked up missing that flight, but his love for his girls is so genuine. No fake emotion from him just heartfelt adoration.

The amount of alcohol they get through is phenomenal.

lotusbell · 02/05/2019 07:03

The way they speak drives me mad! "No one come up to us" and "everytime we done something". The constant chanting must have been really annoying to the other guests and that train journey to Manchester...Hmm

Nicecupofcoco · 02/05/2019 09:00

The way Greg looked at billie during the ceremony! They seem really well suited!
Loved the wedding episode.
Can't see it happening for Sam and Paul though.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 02/05/2019 09:03

I have to say Greg looked pretty hot all tanned and in his wedding suitBlush

Billie could've done with looking at her husband during the ceremony and not being so worried about ruining her makeup for the photosHmm

I found all the constant "You're gonna cry aren't you? Will you hold it together? Will you be emotional?" nonsense utterly bizarre.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 02/05/2019 09:07

Made me laugh when her mum told her off for shouting and Sam said "She can shout if she wants to it's her wedding day" Errrr,no you can't ,you spoilt madam, you don't get a free pass as it's your wedding day!

vjg13 · 02/05/2019 09:11

If they get a magazine deal I can see Big Paul marrying Sam just for the cash!
