I agree. B&g at least seem to like each other. Paul was awful this episode

CallMeOnMyCell · 25/04/2019 20:49

I feel sorry to Sam, she tries to share with big Paul and he is always so dismissive. It’s like she’s always trying to impress him, she craves his approval and love but I don’t think she’ll ever get what she wants from him. Paul and Rosie are beautiful children, at least Sam will always have their love.

ballsdeep · 26/04/2019 00:13

I find Paul's obsession with baby Paul really unsettling. It's the same as his relationship with his mother.

MrsCatE · 26/04/2019 09:45

Haven't even seen latest episode and cringing at above re BABY Paul i.e. Big Paul. He's such a selfie twat. How could he get away with going to a hotel with his (in his eyes) mini me to avoid the trauma of Rosie's sleep training?! On top of that, making her get out of bed to see to said mini me when he's usually surgically attached. Passive aggressive of what?

What on earth does he bring to the table? She's the one bringing in the money, he's even muscled into her business. So much for being a property developer AKA as estate agent.

Also don't understand her obvious desperation to be married to this man child or the fact he dangles this hook over her head. How can she be 'good enough' to pop out his kids but not marriage material?!

LucheroTena · 26/04/2019 10:21

He’s an undermining, disrespectful, workshy sponger isn’t he? His behaviour is very controlling and odd. Her self esteem must be poor to stay with him.

IHaveBrilloHair · 26/04/2019 16:07

I think Sam knows all of this, but she can't possibly leave him and lose face.

LucheroTena · 26/04/2019 16:30

You hit the nail on the head I think, she can’t lose face.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 26/04/2019 16:42

yep its all about show- i recall in the baby diaries she was saying she had found her prince charming and how everything was complete....even then he was a seemingly jobless, couldnt cook, lived with his mum odd ball- but Sam wants to come across so perfect.

OneInAMillionYou · 26/04/2019 23:10

I agree with everyone about Sam and Paul. What does he actually DO all day??
You can tell when Sam is feeling the tension, her face gives it away, she purses her lips so hard you can't see them!

She just really wants what her sister has, but she's picked the wrong guy. I agree with PP above who said that he has got worse again in this series, perhaps it's the fact that little Paul is growing up and away from his control?

I just could not respect a man who made no contribution to the life of the household, but felt free to undermine and criticise, all the time having 100 pairs of trainers in the cupboard, all paid for by his partner!

No news on the series being renewed. The money train could stop as easily as it started and Sam will regret the money she's wasted on trying to keep up the facade.

WeMarchOn · 27/04/2019 08:08

Suzie I don't think I have ever seen her say much to Paul so maybe she sees through his bullshit

forevercurious · 27/04/2019 09:36

Bit late to join this thread but I watch this programme every week.

Love B&G - not a huge Nellie fan at all but Arthur is a cutie.

Like S but cannot stand big Paul - he is completely useless and does not act like a parent at all! Sam does it all. I also agree little Paul is favoured over Rosie, very telling that they didn’t persevere with the sleep training for him.

Excited to see the wedding show next week - majority of it looks like carnage but the ceremony looks beautiful :)

Scoose · 27/04/2019 12:15

It's just been recommissioned for another two years. I wonder if we will see an engagement and wedding from Sam and big Paul or will she still be desperately dropping hints whilst he pretends not to hear her. Will baby Paul finally go into his own room or will he still be sharing a bed with them
When he's 15?

popcorndiva · 27/04/2019 14:58

I think they need to be a bit less OTT if they are not to lose viewers. Not every party has to have a flower wall and gifted pjs.

In the first series they just had a simple family bbq. They didn't hire a chef to do it. Plus going on a holiday every other week is bonkers. No wonder Sam has no idea what is going on with her business

HJWT · 27/04/2019 16:28

@forevercurious never to late to join!

I cant believe this week's episode, the way Paul contradicts Sam constantly is a JOKE😳 why you doing this, why have you done that!? If that was my DH I would turn around and smack him in the mouth 🤦🏻‍♀️

Such an embarrassment to her, and when she said she was going to catch the bouquet and he acted like a 3 year old 😣😬 just cringe...

PassMeTheWine · 27/04/2019 16:50

Place marking!

SazCat · 27/04/2019 19:21

I can't believe how selfish 'big' Paul is not wanting Paul to go to nursery/pre-school! It's all about his feelings, and wanting him to stay in the bed. That bedroom was ridiculous, it made it into such a big deal and must have been overwhelming for little Paul Confused

M0reGinPlease · 27/04/2019 19:22

Just catching up on this week's ep. DH- who is pretending to play on his phone- has just shouted at the telly 'you say that all the time love it's not that bloody rare!!!' when Sam said about their spa session 'this is rare time for us away from the kids' 😂

OneInAMillionYou · 27/04/2019 19:24

Yes HJWT especially when she was trying to write her speech with two children crying and crawling over her. Just HELP you big lump!

Don't know if they will dial down the holidays. Sam on Insta earlier as they were on their way back from Dubai saying they were off to the Turks and Caicos soon 🙄🙄🙄🙄

MaHeidsGouping · 27/04/2019 19:45

Yeah I watched Sams IG story earlier and was surprised to see they will be going away soon! Life is just one big holiday for Paul, I remember in the 1st series he was driving around in a VW Golf....now it's a Range Rover and holidays every 2 month.

ballsdeep · 27/04/2019 20:11

I thought the same with the speech. And then he checked on his phone. Did you notice his face though when Sam was right? He is a knob. He knows Sam will never leave him though.
I can't believe the amount of holidays they go on. It puts me off watching it anymore because they are so far fetched and dramatic now. No longer are they girls next door

RainbowFox · 27/04/2019 20:13

I don't feel sorry for Sam. It's Rosie I feel sorry for. One year old and sleep trained and left in the spare room to sleep on her own (they can't even give her a nice room of her own?) whilst her mummy, daddy and big brother share a family bed and sleep with each other every night. And based on Paul's behaviour so far, that isn't going to change any time soon. She will watch these shows back one day.

Sam can't change Paul's behaviour but she can do something about choosing a relationship with someone who behaves the way he does. If she's happy with the way things are then so be it but if she's not happy, then I find it hard to feel sorry for her. She's choosing to be in that environment.

Studentnurse1981 · 27/04/2019 21:20

Poor Sam comes across so desperate. Paul just doesnt give a shit about her. He puts her down at EVERY opportunity and NEVER says if she has done a good job or seems to support his wife ? He is so arrogant and she is so desperate to portray a perfect family that she just smiles through all his put downs and insults. She is a brilliant mum and deserves so much better. He is just vile and its clear he prefers Paul to rosie . Poor rosie is like the feral child . Banished to her own room whilst little Paul is still sleeping. Rosie is the one that should be still co sleeping as she is youngest. It breaks my heart how much they fuss over Paul but kick rosie to the curb.

Studentnurse1981 · 27/04/2019 21:23

Rainbow I agree ten fold on what you say regarding poor rosie. You just said it better than me. The poor little girl is treat like 4th class citizen whilst Paul is treat like king. I cant understand why Sam allows this? Poor rosie got a box room but pauk got a jungle extravaganza with a slide bed. It's not fair and quite frankly cruel

Studentnurse1981 · 27/04/2019 21:28

Sue's voice tho!? She sounds so monotone and her lips when pronouncing "samanFa" drives me insane. She just sounds so bloody thick !

Studentnurse1981 · 27/04/2019 21:29

Lisp* not lips damn phone
