My sausage surprise was a slow cooker casserole job. I’m disappointed now that I got it so wrong

The dc did ask why it was a surprise, I suggested it was because I’d just stuck the fridge odds and soda in the slow cooker with browned sausages and a tin of tomatoes so it would be surprising if it was edible

Meanwhile I’m ignoring all the ancient story rehashings as there is no chance of me remembering how things all happened and if I read up, I’ll forget what’s happening now

She is friendly with Shirley but hardly best mates & not friends with the others. It seems a bit off to expect to live there long term while going through treatment (different if she had nobody but she does have a lot of family)

Would make more sense for Half-Whit to go sleep in Whits bed at Slater Towers then there’s whole double bed free. That would solve constant problem that him and Whit can’t live together because of past history with her and Mik.

Ditto Bernie and Keagan are not in school uniform but no mention of school or college when they are both 15-16-17? Given way Phil is broke she can’t rely handouts.

Why does Linda not want jean at hers?

I am not sure why Linda is so hostile, but, to be honest, i dont think i would want her there either! she is a nice lady etc, but it is taking the mickey to expect her to live there when she has her own place across the square and there is a bit of room there now Alfie and Mo have both gone as well.
the flat above the Vic isnt shirley's place to let out to whoever she fancies. No wonder she is fed up! ( plus, i have never been keen on sausages!)

I think it's because Jean reminds Linda about her own battle with cancer from a couple of years ago.

Let’s be honest, if any of us were seriously ill & about to go through treatment would we really move out of our home & in to the local boozer? I get she doesn’t want to put Stacey through it but what about the Carters? It’s ridiculous.

I don't think it's jean wanting to live with Carters. More not wanting Stacey to have to nurse and mind her further as she goes through treatment.

I can see why she's moved in , but most people wouldn't.
Stacey is tough enough to help her get through it. She needs to believe in them more.

Let’s hope Stacey goes on Mat leave before the weather warms up, she’s going to boil in that fur coat in the summer
