Jean reminds Linda that she had cancer. Sadly cancer often returns so I can see why Linda is reacting to that. Jean is trying to be a good mum to Stacey as she was reminded recently enough that she wasn't a good mum to Stacey when she was growing up.

I'm lost as to what Ruby is doing. I think I missed an episode. Did you give Phil money to hire a hitman? Where is she getting this money from and if she has so much money why is she living in a bedsit?

Is she messaging the guys who raped her who she has now found out are on a dating website? Or is she inviting a completely random guy over to her flat? Is she going to say no when he tries it on and then hit him over the head or something? And this is payback for the rape?

Is Mitch doing a few odd jobs for Denise and Patrick payback for the 3K he stole? It seems quite a light trade off?

Why is Phil suddenly broke? A few weeks ago he was going to buy the club from Mel for fifty or sixty thousand pounds and now he is broke????

Btw I hate that they’ve gone down this route with ruby. They should have just made the story about the process of a rape trial and how it impacts everyone. Now it’s just another dramatic storyline and ruby has totally compromised the case. She’s drugged a man FGS!!

I liked the scene between Martin and his friend. When friend said is it his fault she changed her mind after the act and Martin pointed out it wasn't really a great idea having sex with someone he himself admits was barely conscious.

Phil being skint is a new thing isn't it? I can't ever remember a time when Phil wasn't loaded and able to pull a huge wodge of notes from his pocket at any time. There is also a safe behind a picture in his house which always seemed to be stuffed full of notes, who has that?

The writers must have made Phil 'poor' for a reason although his house must be worth a lot of money if his desperate! Maybe he'll hook up with Mel to rip Ian off? They have history and don't get on.
Or go after Kat and her 50 k in the cupboard?
I can't be bothered to watch it ( but I bet I do !)

Ruby has money from her dad and she wanted a smaller place so felt secure

I understand Linda’s reaction though it is not nice.

Did Ruby confide in Stuart? And he is going to be one a vigilante again? But Martin (and subsequently the police) know via his message that he was with her???

It wasn’t to bad tonight felt like the old public service annocements. I like the way they have not forgotten Heather after all this time. How old would he son be now? 12? Surely he has come back at some point.

In classic eastenders kelvin went to East Anglia for university. Didn't old Johnny Carter do his law degree at London coz he still lived at home but other than that Oxford. Don't think Cambridge has ever got a look in though. Confused

How did Martin and Stace get heavy Ross down the stairs and into the street without anyone seeing them? There was an old lady who opened the door earlier so unlikely they wouldn't have been spotted. But then in EE Land it's easy to move/dispose of bodies.
Whatever Ruby gave Ross seemed to have knocked him out. He might not come round.
Also, did I see blood on the towels as Stace looked round the door? All a bit melodramatic.

I think Linda had a hysterectomy they kinda rushed it in to explain her maternity leave and never mentioned it again. They like tokeep it real in classic Eastenders the other day tgey were talking about benefits they had an actual form.
