Both her parents are working Sonia must be on Over £25k as she been nurse for donkeys years. Martin must earn fair bit also (granted her has many kids to look after) so what £50k combined income? Which isn’t mega loads but neither is it mim wage of single parent either.

Given all adults in here life are living rent free in relatives households without two sticks rub together. She needs to do something with her life. Plus Great grandma Dot has zillions I’m sure she could pass on some dosh for fees.

Medicine! Well for that you need to have a huge amount of work experience and different types of placement to be considered for a place and I don't remember Bex doing any of that.

The only thing they seem to have right is that she needs to get AAA. She mentioned she needed 3 As and 'one needs to be an A. That one is usually Chemistry for medicine.

Like I said I could have imagined it! Her school must be rubbish (like mine was) don’t they make you stay in school there days for constant lessons and revision not just let you get on with it or not at home? Especially when their league tables rely on it. I can see Her off to Uni unlike Louise who yes is year younger but such a baby.

Instead of working for Min wage for Ian in chippy he should do cleaning least double the pay per hour plus some sort of baked pinny version he be rolling in it. Unless that be sub plot know of him making money on the side.

I feel sorry for Bex, all her parents seem to be worried about is outings to Oxford and punting on the river.

Dr Legg had loads of stories back in the day so the square could do with a new doc. Though we have wait about 12y for her to qualify. Maybe she will fail exams because she see Kush kissing someone or find out about the dress. She be a nurse instead and be out in the community in 12months like Super Sonia

It's not the only uni that does medicine either , she could go to Newcastle or Swansea to study.

80s, You're right, there are loads of universities that offer medicine, I know Nottingham and Southampton do it. I don't think you can go punting on the river there though so they might not be so attractive to Sonia and Martin .

Can anyone remember what Bex got in her GCSEs? I think you need about 8 A* in those for medicine too...

TooMany WIPS Denise and Kim asked Lola to be a stylist in their new salon but she declined. I can't remember if they have asked Stacey.

'Punting on rivers ' i tend to associate with Cambridge , but I haven't been to Oxford in years and years so my memories are very vague.

80s I tend to associate punting with Cambridge too! I had to look it up to see if they indeed did it in Oxford when Martin and Sonia were discussing their upcoming day trips
