I thought the dress was for some evening event? Or is it an interview st the uni?

Can I ask if other students would really see Bex as the odd one out because of her background? Surely there are students from all walks of life, home and abroad, rich and poor, those working part time jobs and those partying their time away? At least that is what it is like in Irish universities. I can’t imagine anyone laughing at someone because of their background. People are judged on their academic achievements and personalities.Does it really happen?

Slipper, I know someone whose daughter went to Cambridge and she said they were all lovely down to earth, just normal students.

I suppose some people don't fit in but I can imagine it's quite laid back. I've no idea to be honest though.

I just had this vision of Bex not feeling right in a dress if its a casual thing and she's all dressed up. If it's an interview you would have to be dressed smart I would imagine?
Think they have to tests and things as well? It's much harder than an ordinary uni to get into.

Did Sonia say that she missed her chance of going because she had Bex so young? I never remember Sonia being portrayed as particularly academic when she was still living with Carol?

Sonia didn't even know she was having 'old ' Martins child till she went into labour with big Mo helping her , let alone be studying for one of the red brick unis.
But, I could be doing her a big injustice.

I don't recall her being that academic only her playing her trumpet badly and arguing with Pauline Fowler and Martin and throwing fruit bowls about! Lol

The dress looked ok I thought. But my eyesight isn't what it once was.

I miss heard thought she said her brother had ADHD? Guess he’s On drugs that keep you awake if don’t have it? Surely it’s bit late to be looking around Uni. She would have been offered a place with grades so fair enough top notch revision days but just to look around-huh?

Least Kim is doing stuff, what exactly is Dee going do at Salon? Surely they only have about 8 appointments a day so how many leaflets were they giving out. Still least the set is being used again.

I think it was supposed to be some sort of offer holders' day for Bex.

At least she revealed she is studying Biomedical Sciences so that is one mystery solved.

Yes, Bex is going to be taking Ritalin now. Didn't one of the mothers in Desperate Housewives take it? Made her super efficient and able to do loads.

So, not only do would-be students have to panic about mountains of debt, they have to take Ritalin to help them revise. Not the best message for kids.
Sonia missed out on going to uni and becoming a consultant neurosurgeon as she was concentrating on learning the trumpet.
Is Bex reluctant to go to uni as she is mooning about Muscles?

Kim is going to try and blag a qualification whilst being the mum of a 4 year old and a four month old as well? Where are her children anyway? Pearl may well be at nursery , but mika is only small! Would the salon be paying enough to send them both full time when she isn't even working properly yet!
Why don't they show how hard it is to work when you have small kids?

Ahh, Ritalin. She would have to get a prescription for that ? Or is it available on the black market? I hope Bex doesn't do this. She is normally quite sensible.

You can get hold of everything via the Internet. Of course it's not always what you ordered so Bex is clearly going to have a bad reaction to it, either because it's not Ritalin or because it's a dumb idea to take it.

Ahh, the whole dodgy drugs line but not drugs like cocaine etc but ones that children / young adults are prescribed so she thinks they are ok to buy.
I missed what the girl said to her outside the building so missed what was going on.

Bex does seem to sensible to take something she buys off the internet but she is desperate to do well. So the girl in the pink dress takes the drugs prescribed for her brother? Presumably she has to have her own supply or he won't have his tablets so perhaps she will help Bex order them off the internet?

80s yes I saw Kat chatting up Kush too! Poor man, having big Mo living with him and now Kat after him!
