Wood hill, it was a great forum and we had some wicked nicknames for them ( Max: scotch egg, Mitchelloni for Phil, misery guts for carol) I hope some of the people there have found this thread !
I need to catch up on EE as I haven't watched it this week.

Then other issues like Disability are hardly mentioned. Apart from the 6m recovery from “you will never walk again”.

Like Janet has hardly had any story lines. She moved to high school last year yet no problems at all. No problems with benefits or services or friendship groups. Like with Donna apart from one episode where she went to hospital and talked about pain to Jay or someone that’s it. All daily challenges must be to boring to even put in. I know she could walk few steps but never saw her trying get chair up step to cafe or no accessible loo anywhere. While ramp to cafe appeared when Jane needed it now nothing. (Well at least that bit is realistic!)

Yes akire they could spend some time writing about the daily problems people with different disabilities encounter. And not just for 3 episodes but ongoing!

Thing is with disability on tv/films they are either shown as super inspirational or ill and feeble they don't show ordinary disabled people with their good and bad days so they do issue based storylines and then they fade into the background

Yes you are right about inspirational it does the rest of us no favours! Just she to go trouble having her in it for 12 years and apart from birth story hardly a hiccup.

I’m sure Karen has more challenges with her Twins/brothers yet hardly mentioned either. Though did once have one run off and hid which was more realistic Of daily life.

They had Donna as a disabled character and she was great.
Mostly it's just ignored or the person gets better really quickly ( like Patrick's stroke)
Mental health is a bit better handled but mostly none of it is realistic.

Well I was fooled By Bens dad act for an hour lol Can’t believe Lexi is in a room with him.

Shame we back to square one with Ken making moody faces at Sharon while he’s going sleep with Louise. Why didn’t he just send her to Ibiza for year? It’s not like she seems to be doing an exams or have ambitions.

I didn’t like the way everyone was walking up 02 together. I would want some space. Someone screaming or going slow in front of you would feel horrible. Not that I’m like to ascend up in wheelchair any time soon!

As much as I like brooding Ken I do think he needs to get over Sharon. She's too old for him and they have nothing much in common. Move on mate.
