I thought last nights EE was very good WRT to ruby and the insight into why she was doing it. She was desperate to feel like he wasn’t going to win (like he would in court in all likelihood had Martin not found the texts). He’d taken so much from her and she needed him to understand that. I thought it was a very good way of driving the point home when he was semi conscious and she talked about how she gets to decide whether she has permission for whatever she does to him and then took his silence as “yes”. I expected her to say “well you didn’t say no” as well.

WRT Darren and heather. That was one of the weirdest EE storylines they ever did. It made absolutely zero sense. Darren was what, 16/17?

I remember the big ‘reveal’of Darren being the father of Heather’s baby. It never never made sense. I didn’t even think he was sixteen. He always looked about twelve! Never even made sense how he was IN the Vic that night. They really just choose any random ‘whodunnit’ at the time.

Where did he go to when he left. I still can’t understand how his on screen tv brother Joe Swash ended up on reality tv programmes, his voice never broke.

The Darren Miller/Hev storyline was beyond stupid, shuddered at the mechanics of the result as most people did, so sordid

I think Darren was about 19 as he was working in the car lot and was with Libby fox who was just heading to university. The hev story was ridiculous though and a bit gross

I wanted Heather to go off to Southend with Minty and her little boy and be happy.
Instead she was murdered by 'orrible Ben (and helped to cover it up by Jay and Phil) with a photo frame. You can tell I'm still bitter! Even if he did end up doing time.

I think Darren took advantage of Heather that night in the club. Not suggesting rape at all here, but they hadn't even spoken to each other much before then and he was much younger. I think they were both lonely.

Pete & Pauline had the same birthday as me. It went rogue for a couple of years (celebrated their birthdays only around about that time ) but I noticed it was back on the right day when Ian and Kathy had a little toast to them!
