New thread. No spoilers. If you want spoilers, there's a spoiler thread.

Therese and Paul are in love
Toadie is devastated
Mark needs to find Kate in witness protection in Summer Bay in a visit there with Elly where she reunites with the Stewarts
Finn needs to bog off and take Mea with him.
Have I got it all??

Elly is very selective with her use of honesty. Awful character, totally plot driven.

MiddleClassProblem · 20/04/2019 08:52

I like the idea that there’s then a cross over to a a channel five documentary about them having the most overdue baby ever 😂

Although there’s probably someone in the Guinness booking records pregnant for someone in 1908 who was pregnant for 2 years

SleepingStandingUp · 20/04/2019 09:07

How many weeks out is she? Mark thinks she's 9, she must be, with all the symptoms and cravings, at least 1 week??

Fucksake ellie - have an abortion, tell everyone you’ve miscarried. 🙄

Mark will feel so sorry for you that he won’t dump you again, and you can start again.

Smidge001 · 20/04/2019 22:20

Agreed

SleepingStandingUp · 20/04/2019 23:14

Yup. Exactly what she should have done at the beginning!

I think Leo and Elly have been giving each other ‘angst face’ lessons...

woodhill · 21/04/2019 12:21

How does she support herself financially. Wouldn't she have tried to get a job before finding herself pregnant.

Why didn't she tell Mark she miscarried rather than all this nonsense with Sean.

SleepingStandingUp · 21/04/2019 18:57

She was doing to odd interview u think and then there was the random one in the coffee shop.
Thing is I bet Karl and Susan charge no or little rent, so she'd have some savings as her oy outgoings are lifestyle.

Presumably the agreement with Mark would be to move in anyway and pay once she was workinng

The original "mistaken" pregnancy wasn't planned so presumably the plan was to get a job then discuss babies

Aaron finally remembered he has a gym!

Furkle · 22/04/2019 21:22

Just found this thread!

Janet street porter had a cameo as part of 20 things to do before the loose women turned twenty, was pretty shit though wasn't it Grin

MiddleClassProblem · 22/04/2019 21:59

It was crap!

Easter has me behind but working from home on Friday so might just do a week binge to get this Elly crap out the way rather than let it irk me daily...

Leafs123 · 22/04/2019 22:35

Anyone else thinking finn is going to get off and then move in with susan and mea?

Smidge001 · 22/04/2019 22:45

Definitely. The ex wife taking him in thing was just a set up so now he has nowhere to go, and obviously Susan will want to give him the loving home he always needed, and be the mum he always lacked. Karl will come around, and probably Mea will fall in love with him again. Then Ned can go apeshit and be the dodgy black sheep of the Brad offspring family again. He doesn't really do much does he. I mean, apart from being slightly controlling over Mea and mope about a bit with her with no chemistry.

Leafs123 · 23/04/2019 07:25

I was originally thinking that imogen would fall for him not knowing the original finn and then he would turn evil and manipulate her but i think she'll be out of there once the trial is done so Mea sounds like a better bet

SleepingStandingUp · 23/04/2019 08:27

Will he turn evil again or will this be like Cain in Home and Away though

OP posts:
BareBelliedSneetch · 23/04/2019 21:20

He’s definitely going to be evil again!

I’m loving Mea’s “someone just said no to me” face Grin

Leafs123 · 23/04/2019 21:23

Elly is an absolute disgrace.

BareBelliedSneetch · 23/04/2019 21:29

This storyline is ridiculous even for Neighbours. Nobody would do that. Nobody. Ever.

SleepingStandingUp · 23/04/2019 22:33

It does take a SPECTACULAR level of self absorption to do this. Best of it is, she WILL HAVE TO TELL MARK BECAUSE THE DATES DON'T MATCH!!!

So she'll be like yo, Mark - so the positive was false, you were mean, i got laid, i got pregnant, i lied, actually i'm not 45 weeks pregnant, it's Shauns. You know, Shaun. Finn's brother. No i didn't know it was his brother at the time. That's why i got Finn off and moved him in with Susan, so you'd never need to know all this. Yes i know Finn has turned evil having sedcued Susan and locked Mea in a cupboard with no guitar and poisoned Karl, and it was all because i'm selfish and a liar. But we're ok aren't we? Can we still make this work?

OP posts:
AGnu · 24/04/2019 09:02

I can't get over the way they all seem to have bought into Mea's "I'm the biggest victim" delusion. I think it was Karl who told her she got to make the decision about Finn moving in because she was the most affected of anyone. All he did specifically to her was lie about who he was & manipulate her so he could get close to Elly. Many, many women have been in relationships where the man has lied about his identity/situation & manipulated them. It's awful, yes, but it's not so much more awful than all the things he did to the others!

Anything else that happened to her was usually because she happened to be with his target at the time, or she put herself in the situation when she knew he was dangerous & she could've called the police. The only time since she arrived when she hasn't behaved like a spoilt brat was when she was with "Patrick" & was coerced into looking after him.

BoldMeDontAtMe · 24/04/2019 10:10

It's all so shit I've stopped watching.

pikapikachu · 24/04/2019 12:42

Mea was engaged to him so I'd assume that she was the most deluded about him.

Cherrypie32 · 24/04/2019 16:14

The way they pander to Bea and how pretty much anything might ‘trigger’ some response, bleurgh. Could anyone be more insensitive than ‘we’re here for you’ Dipi and Shane.

MiddleClassProblem · 24/04/2019 16:17

Didn’t Elly try and run him over pre neighbours?

She was engaged to Patrick not Finn. Finn she actually barely knows and it bugs me every time she says “that’s what Finn’s like” or “That’s what Finn would do” etc as she only knew Finn for about half a day and then their cabin reunion...
