have just read Monkseal what's the betting the SHOCK BOOT is Riccardo.

I'm worried about that, too, Baggy.

I don't want anyone to go - but Leah is my least favourite, as she always looks worried.

SoupDragon · 18/03/2019 07:27

Mutter mutter Going on about a "shock boot" constitutes a spoiler in my book. Sad I don't like hints like that, it spoils my enjoyment.

angstinabaggyjumper · 18/03/2019 07:59

Sorry Soup I agree actually. Thought we all read Monkseal though, so the damage was done.

SoupDragon · 18/03/2019 08:00

I don't. I don't like Monkseal.

Binglebong · 18/03/2019 08:23

I thought they said something about it in the coming up next week bit

MaidenMotherCrone · 18/03/2019 08:24

GBSB is very bad for my bank balance! I have repeated the same ridiculous habit every series.

  1. Get stupidly excited at each episode.
  2. Watch each episode several times.
  3. Buy lots of stuff for making lots of stuff.
  4. Add the stuff I've bought to my collection of stuff for making stuff.
  5. Make approximately 0 stuff.
  6. End of series and I lovingly go through all my 'precious's' planning what I'll make.
  7. Make 0 stuff.
  8. Repeat.

I am banning myself from eBay for ever.

I will not give up my Abakhan addiction though. We go back a long way... I played there as a child before it was a shop.... pre health and safety days. Does anyone remember the little remnants hut in the days when it was actually cheap and before it became all fancy? I'm referring to the Mostyn shop btw.

SoupDragon · 18/03/2019 08:27

Maybe they did say it in the next week bit. I always turn those bits off for everything as they give far too much away!

SoupDragon · 18/03/2019 08:28

GBSB is very bad for my bank balance!

I have an unopened set of bias binding makers I bought after seeing them on the very first series 😂

MaidenMotherCrone · 18/03/2019 08:30

@SoupDragon I've ordered a bloody overlocker.... I need help.

ReturnofSaturn · 18/03/2019 08:39

I think Juliet is the best...love her stuff and she seems to always manage to stay calm and collected.
Not keen on Janet tbh.

SoupDragon · 18/03/2019 10:27

An over locker is hard core shopping!

Frenchfancy · 18/03/2019 11:41

@Maidenmothercrone you won't regret it. I sewed for years without one but once you've used one there is no going back.

angstinabaggyjumper · 18/03/2019 12:08

Maidenmothercrone would it be rude to ask how much?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/03/2019 12:53

Soup

I can only apologise.

I will never again reveal even a sniff of a spoiler, It was totally unintended, but it was thoughtless on my part.

MaidenMotherCrone · 18/03/2019 13:14

@angstinabaggyjumper It's a Jaguar 489 with £80 discount so I've paid £299.

I had settled on a Janome but was swayed by the Jaguar's reviews.

angstinabaggyjumper · 18/03/2019 13:20

MaidenMotherCrone Thank you - not that I'm thinking of getting one of course...

dillite · 18/03/2019 13:38

halsall I have never heard of those books but I have ordered the one that you linked to. It looks like a great book!

MaidenMotherCrone · 18/03/2019 13:39

I wasn't thinking of getting one either Grin

UatuTheWatcher · 18/03/2019 13:59

I bloody love my Pfaff Coverlock 4.0. Best bit of kit my lovely DH has ever bought me.

2rebecca · 18/03/2019 14:02

I started using an overlocker last year and love it. Great for stretch garments and for finishing the seams of non stretchy

CaptainMyCaptain · 18/03/2019 14:28

I have an overlocker but it is so difficult to get the tension right I often can't be bothered to use it and just use zig zag stitch.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 18/03/2019 14:57

Oh bloody hell MaidenMotherCrone I had just put to bed my overlocker fixation and now you've gone and stirred me up again.

will you post pictures?

UatuTheWatcher · 18/03/2019 15:14

Excuse the mess I’m a bit behind with projects at the moment and have a load half finished but this is my baby.
