Lemonsquinky · 06/03/2019 19:36

Fontella, I agree. How Ricardo didn't get garment of the week I don't know.

FuzzyPuffling · 06/03/2019 20:36

iklboo snigger snigger....

mineofuselessinformation · 06/03/2019 20:40

Can I join in the the Patrick love?
I thought his pogoing last week was fabulous, and then we got to Winston this week, never mind his melted chocolate eyes......
😍 for those who can see it.

PrivateIsles · 06/03/2019 20:40

I don't think they even singled out Riccardo's tracksuit from the rail after the challenge - they mentioned Jen's and Juliet's - which were both brilliant, to be fair. But they said beforehand that Riccardo's was going to be really difficult to do, but he managed it perfectly... yet got hardly any credit for it! He was robbed!! Shocking.

TheSassyAssassin · 06/03/2019 20:49

Hulloo. Totally agree about Riccardo's tracksuit, was fab. Doggy style didn't do much for me this week though! Think the right person went. Looking forward to watching live with you all next week Smile

SchadenfreudePersonified · 06/03/2019 20:58

I was shocked that Riccardo's tracksuit wasn't even singled out for great praise.

Wolfcub · 06/03/2019 21:00

Ditto Schaden I thought there was an awful lot of work in it and it looked beautiful

PrivateIsles · 06/03/2019 21:06

It did. It was much nicer to look at than the others, imho.

Binglebong · 06/03/2019 22:19

I do want to know how the creases at the bottom of the scuba trousers were done. Were they made so that they would fold exactly like that every time or just done long enough that there was enough fabric to crumble and be styled?

SoMuchToBits · 07/03/2019 00:07

Haha, sorry for the wasp references. In our house we have a tendency to translate any bees/Bs to wasps.

So Wasp & Q, WaspWise, Wasp & M Home Bargains etc.

Sorry again, and hi to Fuzzy who has seen my ridiculous other threads.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/03/2019 00:14

Don't apologise for the wasps - brought a smile to my miserable tripe-faced visage Grin

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/03/2019 00:19

Monkseal is quick off the mark this week - I even checked back to make sure that I hadn't admonished Bitofun unfairly.

monkseal.wordpress.com/2019/03/06/the-great-british-sewing-bee-5-episode-4/#more-11630

(Sorry if I was snippy Bitfun - wasn't intended to be mean. I've had a rough week of PCC meetings and beating my head off my desk and haven't been giving as much thought to my posts as I should. When I rad back I thought "Schaden - you're a snotty cow!" Apologies)

SoMuchToBits · 07/03/2019 00:22

Glad you liked the Sewing Wasp Schaden! Grin

Frenchfancy · 07/03/2019 06:25

Monkseal is great! She also thinks Richardos should have won. I need to atch it again to check out his trouser hems

angstinabaggyjumper · 07/03/2019 09:05

I have been lured out of the shadows at the mention of Riccardo, he seems very unappreciated and ignored to me, I keep telling my DH he is a 'dark horse,' but actually they act like they don't like him and will be pleased to see the back of him, he was mentioned in the bottom three very quickly last episode but he has created some very stylish clothes and rarely gets a mention for his skill and taste.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/03/2019 09:31

I agree baggyjumper.

There seems to be an undertone (at least as regards the judges). I will watch very closely to see how he and the other competitors get on.

I am usually over-sensitive to slights and spite, but can't say I've noticed anything.

SoupDragon · 07/03/2019 09:44

The thing is, the programme will have been very carefully edited to show exactly what they want you to see. There will have been far more discussion that ended up edited out. Also, it's all been edited with the end result in mind. Maybe Riccardo is the underappreciated dark horse who gallops first over the finish line.

(Disclaimer: I have no idea what the end result actually is!)

OK point taken Soup

SoupDragon · 07/03/2019 10:04

I'm not the producer, I'm just very close to Patrick

Disclaimer: I'm not.
