Yeah, I thought it was a really close skate-off until the fall. I was worried for Saara as I wanted her to get through, she’s been better than Brian overall tonight.

Thought Brian was overmarked for his comedy routine. JJ did some lovely stuff so he deserved the marks (still dislike his general character, he nailed that coffin during BB) and Wes has the technical stuff down.

Is the final a public vote or half and half (I always fast forward Willowbooby and Phil)?

I’m late to the party, but thought Brian had improved so so much in the last couple of weeks I was actually half hoping he’d get through, despite calling him the skating potato earlier!

As long as Wes and James were in the final I’m happy. They’re both great skaters.

Did JJ chicken out of a jump in his first routine? He did one in practice and seemed to he building up to one in the live show. Felt a bit flat for that, to me. Still want him to win though.

As good as it was I'm a bit disappointed JJ is repeating his routine from last week. I'd rather see him improving a routine from the earlier weeks (NOT The Flintstones!)
I can see why he's doing it however (or the producers wanted it as it's the most popular skate this season and they need the ratings).

I'd have liked to have seen him in those tights again.

I've watched James' routines from last week so many times now! The first one especially. The pro skaters might be more muscular etc. but there was something so powerful about his skating...especially that knee slide - sent me all of a flutter lol.

Well, I'm actually quite excited for the Donkey Finale this eve. I am currently trying to get my timings right on the roast chicken dinner so that we've done with that and can then enjoy old fashioned home-made baked rice pudding when it starts. Bring spoons if you want some later

I may also have planned my day around having everything finished for 6pm

Am going to try and watch it live today. I hope James wins but can accept either of the other two - I like all three. I assume they have dropped doing flying routines but will they still do Bolero? I think James will be good at that.
Surprised that he is reprising the routine from last week - I think Land of a 1000 dances would have been equally okay.
