Glad to hear the result, I never watch it ‘live’, always wait until the dc are in bed and dp is elsewhere in the house watching whatever crap he wants to before settling down to my very guilty pleasure
Hate the adverts and the waffling, just want to watch the skating.
Sounds as though they made the right decision this evening, melody always looks graceful and elegant in the lifts but there’s a hell of a lot of them and she avoids the actual skating as much as she can!

Oh sorry Fuzzy, yes poor Barbara she was lovely, I bawled at that episode, I've been watching the old series on Netflix, forgot how grim some of them were.

Just watching now, I have to say this week was a real high point for Brian! I think he’s improving all the time and far fewer wobbles, he looked more secure and stable this week. He totally deserved his scores!

Glad Saira stay d in. Melody spent too much time in lifts and not enough on the ice, and hardly any solo.

Also thought Wes was pretty average aside from the good jumps. Just quite boring!

Cringed at Brian with his arm round his partner‘s neck again, yuck. He clearly has enough loyal followers to get him through.

I stupidly went on Twitter beforehand and though I didn’t see the result, I saw a comment from Monkseal which indicated there was a shock exit.

I agree that Melody barely did any skating in her skate-off, all lifts. The judges clearly wanted to save her but couldn’t.

Would like Saara in the final, as someone who has improved a lot and frankly to have a girl in there. Which is probably the wrong kind of PC quota-ism but there you go.

Wes and Saara leave me cold.

Hate his bloody smug voice on the car ads, and they're on the radio about every three minutes.

I just watched it and caught up. It was the right result. Melody looked beautiful while held up in the air, but really wasn’t much of a skater on the ice, even when holding onto her partner. Even the skating potato has improved a lot and actually deserved to remain (while previously I’d have said that he was the weakest). I’m still rooting for Wes to win.

I wonder how Brian will get one with two routines. I can see his progress falling apart. I hope the judges don't go in for Saara this week. Presumably her voting figures are quite low compared to Brian McPotato and they want her gone.
