I saw Paris is Burning and it was amazing but definitely definitely not appropriate for Ryan Murphy. The young uns (the "children" as they were known) were prostitutes and drug users and were decimated by HIV. They had really grim lives. Most of the clothes they used at the Balls were stolen. The gay guys all looked like guidos. They had moustaches and fake crocodile shoes. It was just a very very different time. I just can't imagine someone famous for such campy series doing it justice. It really shouldnt be trivialised. Some of the "children" really were children, there were 12 and 13 year olds on the streets in that documentary.

I loved silky's entrance look but then she got annoying so fast, and no idea how she didn't get read for that runway look.
I like Shuga Cain, brook lyn, and I'm hoping Plastique has a personality to match her looks. Glad Vanjie got another chance too, she looks amazing.

Paris is Burning is amazing. Watched it and went “what was that” and had to see it again. Do you know about Dorian Corey (the old queen sitting in her dressing room)? I won’t mention anything else about the others, as think watching it rather than just hearing a synopsis is much much better. It’s on YouTube and Netflix. Pretty sure you’re all seen it tho :)

On RPDR, Scarlett is a meh for me. Weirdly looks less girly out of drag. Probably needs to learn a bit.

I always had hopes of being a big star. But as you get older, you aim a little lower. Everybody wants to make an impression, some mark upon the world. Then you think, you've made a mark on the world if you just get through it, and a few people remember your name. Then you've left a mark. You don't have to bend the whole world. I think it's better to just enjoy it. Pay your dues, and just enjoy it. If you shoot a arrow and it goes real high, hooray for you

Just finished the second episode. I'm a bit meh about the acting stuff - I actually really didn't like that section. Compared to s6 movie Drag U it was pretty lame in comparison.

I have big issues with Scarlett’s make up. Can we talk about it?

She wears such light make up. She seems to paint like she’s a woman, with no major contouring, overdrawn lips, big eyes, etc. Now if you’re Courtney Act and are blessed with pretty features, you can get away with it. Scarlett may well be a really attractive man, but she has a massive square man jaw and every time I look at her in drag I see massive square man jaw

I love the transformations you see on Drag Race. I love that moment in the first episodes where everyone de-drags and looks SO different. Scarlett doesn’t look much different. And her boob contour is terrible.
