Watched it. Never really enjoy the finales much really, usually fast forward to the crowning but thought I'd watch this one. Looking forward to 12pm tomorrow to hear everyone's thoughts!

I managed to avoid Instagram all day! Just watched the finale. It definitely seemed more polished this year. I wish they would do a ‘best bits’ section!

I’ve also watched it and looking forward to everyone’s opinions on the outfits and performances!

A non spoiler question about the finale. When the woman was singing "sissy that walk", who were the drag queens coming out?

Does anyone think the editing on the finale shoe is really weird? Very disjointed.... felt like that woman was singing so randomly...

Thought it was a hugely enjoyable finale (for a change!) I laughed a lot. Loved seeing the audience enjoying the show. ☺️

I couldn't identify 2 veteran queen's in the finale....someone help?

Well it's well after 12:00 but I'm scared to go first 😂

OK fuck it I'm going first.

I knew full well Yvie would win. RPDR have been enthralled with wierd Queens for a few years now. All that edgy stuff. It's like they're trying to prove a point that drag can be all sorts.

Except I didnt think that blue monster bodystocking in the VT was even drag. It was performance art. The whole point of drag to me is to imitate female tropes and make them your own and redefine beauty blah blah blah but that creature was just a hideous monster.

I also think Yvies main talent was as a contortionist. Yes I said it!

So I disagree personally with the crowning bit I could see it coming a mile off. People were going on about producer manipulation with keeping Silky in, but I always thought it was just as obvious they were keeping Yvie in as a talking point. An edgy Queen with a spiky personality and a debilitating condition? TV Gold! But she was never remotely up to the others level for me. She was too young and too unformed and unexperienced and half her outfits looked like craft projects.

Of the 4 that made the final BLH should have been the winner for me. Silky shouldn't have been up there at all, Akeria just wasn't good enough compared to the others, and although I liked Yvie very much I agree with you about the performance art

I was really pleased Nina got Miss Congeiality.

I was delighted about Nina. She looked amazing as well. Gorgeous runway look but the back was genius!
I loved BLH at the start but she seems kind of cold and I did not enjoy her looks in the finale. The bondage thing was a bit cheap looking and the reveal dressing gown (?) didn’t give me much life. A mirror body suit. Ok... Yvie’s crowning look was superb. Overall I was glad she won. She’s grown on me and I liked what she said in her video segment.
Silkie’s lipsynch... we’ve seen wig upon wig... show us something new (but not butterflies)

I’m OK with Yvie winning because I like her as a person. That’s it! Her drag doesn’t do a lot for me. Totally agree with you Elspeth - so much of Yvie’s look and performance is much more Leigh Bowery school of art than drag. I disliked Nina’s “Leigh Bowery” facekini look for similar reasons. Didn’t feel like drag to me.

The producers had obviously decided that BLH was too boring. Shame, because she’s pretty flawless.

I was surprised how nervous Silky seemed - and she seemed unsurprised at not winning.

I'm not sure how good Yvie will be as the winner, but I think she will get headlines - and she is certainly memorable!

Silkys performance was so weak, she relied on 2 costume reveals and 2 wig reveals. One of either, I can understand, but when they need gimmicks to make their lipsync rise above others, then they are clearly crap. Also, she flopped around on the floor again and claims it was "dancing"

I'm glad Yvie won, I loved the mirror faces (although she should have cleaned the mirrors..) and the golden head, that was really cool.
I just wasn't very invested in the series as a whole. There were no nice funny queens. I normally root for the comedy queens who also have a good heart, like Jinx, Bianca, Bob, but none of the contestants this year seemed to have that. Nina was almost there, and I liked her, just didn't find her incredibly funny.

Really looking forward to the UK version.

I wasn't fussed between BLH and Yvie - anyone else wouldn't have cut it for me and I understand why Yvie was crowned but also agree with the performance art statement @ElspethFlashman - I suppose in a way Bob was a bit like that. Personally I think BLH should have won, based on merit, past performance and the lipsync - but I'm okay with Yvie winning.

Quite enjoyed the finale but agree with the comments about it being disjointed. I also couldn't make out half the queens who came in with Christina and the Queen singing Sissy that walk! I noticed Coco Montrese, Raja, Blair St Claire, Monique Heart and a few others but felt a weird mismatch!

Personally I'm just glad Silky didn't win

The only one I recognised was Coco M and that's because she wisely kept all the shit off her face. The rest of them were just covered in stuff that literally obscured who they were.

I'm glad Yvie won as I've liked her from the beginning, I love the weird queens alongside comedy queens best. BLH would have also been a deserving winner though.
I expected to see more contortion and crazy moves from Yvie in the lipsyncs, but her costume choices didn't really allow for them I think, LOVED that head piece she wore for the final lip sync though!
Silky did seem a bit nervous and subdued, and I felt quite sorry for her despite her annoying the fuck out of me all season. I imagine she's probably received quite a nasty backlash online which I don't think is right to do to anyone.
This season was much better than the last, but it's still lacking that something that the earlier seasons had. Really looking forward to seeing how the UK version will play out!

I'm torn in half, so happy for Yvie's win but so sad that BLH lost.

Yvie is undeniably a queen with so much to offer.

My main problem is that I didn't like how they've made BLH the villain towards the end. Those words about Scarlett were cruel and how the relationship with Vanjie wasn't enough for her, didn't show her in a good way.

I realise she really said these things but I'm sure lots of stuff like this is not shown. If they'd wanted BLH as the winner there's no way we would have seen this.

Nina was always going to be MC and deservedly so.
