I got slightly excited at the prospect of Verdasco beating Federer in Dubai, but it wasnt to be. Nishikori and Milos at both out of that, so I'm pinning my hopes on Tsitsipas.

I hope there are no surprises in the Rafa/Kyrgios match.

Ferrer is up against Sascha Zverev later- it would be nice for him to get a couple of good wins on his 'farewell' tour

Delpo is out of IW he's having further treatment on his knee. Could still play Miami but I'm a bit gutted he won't defend his title in IW.

Well, that result ( and the Delpo news) is not what I wanted to wake up to. I had a feeling it would be a tough match, and at least he seemed to hold his own in the 3rd tie break- not easy against Kyrgios with his serve.

But crap.For both pieces of news.

No, it's not good, is it Raahh? Kyrgios was ill, injured, shouted at someone in the crowd, faffed around etc Rafa played well, he should have won it in the second set really but sadly no.

A bit depressed about Delpo, I wonder if he tried to come back too soon? He said he just wanted to be back on tour....

I wonder if the come back was too soon, Private, he likes Delray beach, but more low key, but perhaps he should have given himself more time.

I reeeally hope Stan wins. Hopefully it's on Amazon. I'm still on NZ time (arrived home yesterday - delayed in Shanghai for a few hours was not much fun) so I may well be awake to watch it!
