After all the Coffee Prince cafe staff grumbling about waffle guy talking about them in Japanese, I looked up Kim Jae-Wook’s wiki. His family spent a big chunk of his childhood in Japan with his foreign correspondent Dad’s posting, so he speaks fluent Japanese.

And this is him non bloodied .

Rabbits - there’s a wiki about Korean names. Over 50% of the population has one of 3 common family names: Kim, Lee & Park.

You are not wrong Rabbits ! When you’ve finished Defendant check out Familiar Wife on Viki or (my fave cos he wears guyliner) Kill Me Heal Me on Netflix.

boatyard ah now that makes sense....I didn’t quite get all the Japanese comments but I watched Coffee Prince on another site so I don’t think the subs were as good.

The phrase I’ve seen used elsewhere on MN is “the fanny gallops.” DH finds this phrase hilarious, so it hasn’t been adopted in our household.

Just starting to watch Diary of a Night Watchman now.

Oooh let us know how it pans out. I've been trying out Vampire Detective (Viki) and Secret (Netflix) while waiting for Last Empress subs

So far Secret - as recommended by Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse - is winning over Vampire Detective (sorry Bea!)

Argggh! Too many dastardly schemes going on against the hero in The Rebel... I want to get to the other side where we're on the home run and everything gets resolved!... On ep 18!... 12 more eps to go! 😭😭😭😭😭

I'm taking a break from Vampire! Not enough vampire action... And there hasn't been any real "what the flip has happened to me? I'm suddenly going very weird at the sight of blood!". Moments... It just seems to have been accepted! 🤔🤔... However like I said.. Does hage8the loveliest softly spoken voice! (or maybe that's because I was listening with headphones!)

Dilemma: I have limited amount of time for kdrama in the next 3 days. Finish Coffee Prince (I’m close) or watch this weekend’s Romance is a Bonus Book?

Ive watched todays Romance IABB - nothing earth shattering just nice

Just watched today’s Romance ITBB. It’s really well done. It is a top 10 contender IMO. Not sure about top 5, but we have some way to go so I won’t say never.

I think it’s the female characters I like in Romance IABB, they are all nice and contenders for a good girls night out. And there’s no mad af 2nd FL for a change.

Plus I want all their houses

The female characters are great. Dan-I is a very relateable, sympathetic FL. The divorcee and the Gangnam Leopard are a hoot. LJS’ lovesick colleague is a really savvy, highly competent business woman and admirable in her own way. Yes, the women are well-written, well rounded characters.

I prefer the music director’s hillside house in Coffee Prince. All the statues and the big floofy OSD in the garden are brilliant too.
