I am, feel incredibly sorry for her youngest daughter!

cranberrymoon · 09/01/2019 22:57

I thought they might give all 3 of them weight loss surgery

purpleme12 · 09/01/2019 22:58

Think the others will be in the next episodes

Difficult to watch for the two daughters' sake, especially the youngest. Credit to the mum dealing with the cancer diagnosis too. Don't understand what's going on with her teeth (tooth?). Surely she could have dental treatment at the hospital?

purpleme12 · 09/01/2019 23:05

I just need she had one tooth I didn't notice there was anything wrong with it.

Yes it was hard with the daughter. Hopefully things will change... Jasmine seemed like a lovely person

What channel is this on please?

Wingedharpy · 09/01/2019 23:10

Channel 4 10pm or channel 13 now.

Alteregoagain1965 · 09/01/2019 23:13

Thanks. I'll watch it on more4 later. I won't kick DH off the TV Smile

CoffeeRunner · 09/01/2019 23:15

I recorded it & am watching it now.

I feel so sorry for Jasmine. At least Tracey has been able to leave home, have a relationship & her own children. She can at least go home at the end of the day.

southnownorth · 10/01/2019 00:21

Just watched this show. Very humbling. As a large person myself it definitely makes you think about the food you put in your body. Hope her daughter’s get help with their weight as well. They were nice looking girls.

purpleme12 · 10/01/2019 00:42

It's interesting that next week it's the husband of the person who used to be Britain's Fattest person

Is this a new one or a repeat from a couple of years back?

purpleme12 · 10/01/2019 00:59

It's a new one

Thanks. Will watch on catch up

cushioncovers · 10/01/2019 08:31

I watched it. Very sad. Looks like the daughters will end up in a very similar situation. The surgeon was rather nice

PollyFlinderz · 10/01/2019 13:42

I don’t understand if the mum had cancer or not. She said everything was clear but did that mean it wasn’t there to begin with and if she did have cancer why was there no need for further treatment.

I hope the girls can also get help with their very complex relationship with food and their mums role in it.

purpleme12 · 10/01/2019 13:50

Yes she had cancer. They confirmed it. People don't always need further treatment maybe she was one of the lucky ones in that respect

ApolloandDaphne · 10/01/2019 13:53

I am just about to watch it.

Alteregoagain1965 · 10/01/2019 13:59

I'm watching it now (I have had WLS)

Alteregoagain1965 · 10/01/2019 14:02

She's only 49 Sad she looks like an elderly lady.

caperplips · 10/01/2019 14:06

I felt very sorry for the daughters, it's really pretty similar to being a child of any addict - alcohol or otherwise, all that minding and worrying and being responsible at such a young age. And the FEAR of what could happen.....

I thought the Mum looked 20 years older than her age of 49 and it is shocking how much damage she had done to her own body.

I wish them all well and really hope the mum makes a go of things now

cushioncovers · 10/01/2019 15:08

Yes she had cancer of the uterus and had a hysterectomy. Lucky for her it seemed to be contained to just the one area and hadn't spread.

PollyFlinderz · 10/01/2019 16:14

Thank you for the explanations regarding the cancer. I didn't know not everyone needs chemotherapy etc.

PegLegAntoine · 10/01/2019 17:07

That was so sad. The way the daughter couldn’t go out etc until the end, if that was a marriage rather than adult and parent, it would be termed as controlling, possessive, emotional abuse. I really hope things do change more going forward.

Alteregoagain1965 · 10/01/2019 19:37

Yes it was sad wasn't it? She sort of went doe eyed around the professionals but was pretty rude to Jasmine who is doing everything for her.
