Anyone else embarrassingly excited for tonight's return?

Also I saw Puffins in the Farne islands too. DD was about 4 and fell in a rock pool. 10 years later she still remembers how we laughed at her getting wet. But there was poetic justice on the boat trip back as we all got splashed by the waves and soaked through.

I would love to see puffins. I live in a fairly puffin-friendly area so next Spring/summer I must make the effort.

tinsel we'll probably fill this thread with bird related ramblings (no one mentioned the octopus yet!) and have a nice new thread all sparkly and new.

We have puffins a few miles down the road from me. Ashamed to admit I've never been - I will make it my mission to go this year!

The thing I like best about puffins is that baby puffins are called pufflings!

I like pelicans too Gareth. Watching pelicans diving for fish keeps me happy for hours. Sadly I would have to travel quite a long way to see them!
