Roussette · 03/01/2019 11:02

Will anyone be watching this new Dance programme on BBC1 on Saturday evenings?!

The judges (although they call them Dance Tutors or something very silly) are the bloke from Glee, frozen-face Cheryl and Oti from Strictly (who I love!)

Hoping @Raahh is around and all the XF gang!

I will deffo be watching particularly as back in the day, I used to work for ITV and used to go round my area judging Disco Dancing competitions. Those were the days, it's over 30 years ago!

Oh dear.

Subject should read 'Saturday night tosh'.

Roussette I was an SCD poster, so am interested in dance and will watch the first one, but the trailers seem a bit "aimed at the yoof" (I don't know why when there are plenty of older dance fans).

I DO love Oti too Grin

ppeatfruit · 03/01/2019 11:18

Oh I'm not a poster and watcher at the same time Grin I find it's impossible to do both properly (old gimmer emojji). Grin

AutumnCrow · 03/01/2019 11:24

I thought 'rosh' was some kind of hip-to-the-groove term Grin

ppeatfruit · 03/01/2019 11:36

Autumn I too didn't know what it meant I just sort of guessed, probably wrongly Grin

Roussette · 03/01/2019 11:37

I'm quite liking 'rosh' Autumn, because I've heard of the word mosh even though I'm ancient Grin. Maybe for once it was a good typing error!

ppeat yes agree, looks a bit yoofy which means I'll be totally out of place but I'll give it a bash Grin

'Tis gonna be hard with no Wine

OP posts:
AutumnCrow · 03/01/2019 12:00

I'll give it a go, just to see Cheryl on the rosh

ppeatfruit · 03/01/2019 12:05

Rouss I'm not a great Wine drinker (i hate the morning after feeling more than the taste of the wine ). Grin

Raahh · 03/01/2019 12:10

GrinHello!

I saw the trailer for this. I can already tell, that the bloke from Glee is going to cry every week.

It will be amazing.

I didn't drink last January, whilst the Voice was on, but it was mainly due to a series of migraines.
I just about survived.Grin

Raahh · 03/01/2019 12:12

I think 'rosh' could catch onGrin

shumway · 03/01/2019 12:15

They had to re-film a bit apparently because the Glee bloke told someone they were full of spunk and didn't realize it has a different meaning this side of the pond.

JaneJeffer · 03/01/2019 12:16

Ooh hello Roussette I don't know if I'll get away with watching this as I think the menfolk will moan too much but I'll give it a shot! The Strictly people may not be able to cope with our irreverence though Shock

JaneJeffer · 03/01/2019 12:19

Anyone from Ireland will agree that Rosh sounds like D4 person saying 'right'

Roussette · 03/01/2019 12:40

Oh gosh... The Voice is starting on Saturday too?! What's a person to do ho hum

I didn't realise! AND it's on at the same time. This might be a pointless thread if I'm watching ole TeamTom in Voice Confused

OP posts:
Roussette · 03/01/2019 12:41

As I'm on Dry January with a clear head, perhaps I can multi task and watch both Grin

hahahaha love it!

JJ glad I'm getting something right with my 'rosh' Grin

It could be a problem Rousette - I am not a fan of dancing shows as much as I like rubbish 'singing' ones.

Plus, I am not overly fond of Chezza Grin.

shum that's the sort of thing my granny would still say. Grin

Roussette · 03/01/2019 15:01

Yes, and it's the sort of thing my dear old Mum used to say.

We never corrected her (we loved it!). If she was going a long way to visit friends with my Dad driving, she would say things like "it's quite a wank down to Surbiton, I hope your father can manage it". Grin

Agree Raahh, 5 minutes of frozen face Chezza will probably be enough for me....

I had to tell my DM that she couldn't call someone a twat because it's rude. She thought it was the same as twit Grin

AutumnCrow · 03/01/2019 16:01

Ah yes, the twit twot twat conundrum.

ppeatfruit · 05/01/2019 17:16

I have just read up about the show in the new Radio Times, apparently it's produced by Simon Cowell's company's called - wait for it- syco ffs Grin Grin

Say no more.

I just hope it's more intelligent than the trailer makes it look! It's all down to the audience the "judges" are called "dance captains" !!!!!!!! because they do not judge !!!!! The Glee bloke hasn't, as far as I could tell no dance experience but the rest of the Dance Captains do.

Roussette · 05/01/2019 17:20

Oh crikey, one of Simon's things, might be putting them off, I put off with the awfulness of XF because it's habit Grin

OP posts:
ppeatfruit · 05/01/2019 17:32

Hmmm yes Roussette I'l give it a chance tonight but that's it. Simon is not exactly yoof is he? Why would the beeb pay all the money out to him for a possible flop?

I don't know how much they've paid for it.
