Does anyone know when it’s on?

I hate the feathers on the chest- that fabric is so beautiful, it doesn't need adornments
I suspect the feathers were to camouflage a less than perfect strap attachment.

Binglebong · 12/02/2019 22:03

Thanks Dillite - so pretty! Do share when you do make something.

dillite · 12/02/2019 22:04

bingle will do. It might be in 2030 though, they better get the show going until then!

Binglebong · 12/02/2019 22:07

Haha, there'll be trouble if not. But why is it on at 9 instead of 8? It's not exactly a watershed issue!

Think I'd make a bag out of that fabric - I have just the right pattern....

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 12/02/2019 22:10

Binglebong I know what you mean, I was bracing myself for some pretty hard core swearing - that's what happens chez fleas when I stab myself with a needle and bleed all over my project.

Binglebong · 12/02/2019 22:11

Haha, yeah, that's been known to happen here too. Or a bad slice from my finger from the rotary cutter. The air was blue!

Auntpetunia2015 · 12/02/2019 22:12

Loved it. Joe grew on us as the show progressed he’s not Claudia but he’ll do! Neither me nor dd can sew a straight line but we love Sewing bee and critique all the outfits like experts!!

mineallmine · 12/02/2019 22:16

Not really the point but...the show is filmed over 2 days. Unlike Strictly, they're not trying to pretend it was all done on one day. So why are they all wearing the same clothes on day 2? They musr gave come with 2 identical outfits cos surely they'd be a ball of sweat and wrinkles on say 2?

mineallmine · 12/02/2019 22:17

Happy to see the yummy Patrick has his beard back.

FindPrimeLorca · 12/02/2019 22:35

So pleased that this is finally back. It’s been a long old wait since the last series. Joe isn’t bad but he’ll take a little while longer to grow into his role. Not happy about Patrick’s haircut.

Juliette is scarily talented.

And Monkseal and his DH will be recapping, which makes my week complete. All I need is Jason Isaacs back on Star Trek and I’ll be able to survive February.

FindPrimeLorca · 12/02/2019 22:36

I assume they have them in the same clothes for both days so they can fiddle around with reaction shots.

Whitney168 · 12/02/2019 22:43

Does anyone know where Juliet’s feather earrings are from, I love them,

SoupDragon · 12/02/2019 22:47

So why are they all wearing the same clothes on day 2?

I think it's for continuity issues if they have to redshirt an interaction or reaction etc.

SoupDragon · 12/02/2019 22:47

Re-shoot FFS.

Whitney168 · 12/02/2019 22:53

There were some marvellous and almost marvellous garments tonight!

Redshoeblueshoe · 12/02/2019 23:00

I enjoyed that. Joe was brilliant

RaffertyFair · 13/02/2019 00:03

I thoroughly enjoyed that. And I love Joe!

ProudAunty2nine · 13/02/2019 03:32

Dear Joe Lycett, I read a quote from you earlier saying you thought you might not be too popular with mumsnet on GBSB ... but i think you can relax it seems most of us like you :)

glamorousgrandmother · 13/02/2019 07:13

They do the clothes thing on Bake Off as well.

idoliketobebesidethesea · 13/02/2019 07:32

Loving Joe! "Don't run with scissors!!" 🤣🤣

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 13/02/2019 07:34

They must have filmed that during the hot spell last summer, everyone looked flushed and sweaty and they all had fans going in front of their machines.

I loved Juliet's jumpsuit, it was a bit of a risk because a one-shoulder garment really needs to be perfectly fitted. The model looked as though she would like to keep it.

Joe seems kind and supportive, although clueless about sewing, so very like Claudia in that respect.

Montypontypine · 13/02/2019 07:38

I'm so looking forward to seeing this! Not sure when it will show in N Z yet. My husband watches it with me constantly shaking his head and laughing, he finally admitted to me recently he used to play rugby with Patrick at school.

Haggisfish · 13/02/2019 07:57

Loved it too.

LIZS · 13/02/2019 08:09

Anyone else tempted to make a wiggle dress? Do they plan to release the patterns this time? I've got one of the previous tie in books which proved invaluable when making dd's prom dress.

Roussette · 13/02/2019 09:59

I'd love to make a wiggle dress. Trouble is... on me, it would be a waddle dress Grin
