I'm so disappointed with the New Year story. An expendable character is dead - so what? I don't care about Mel and Hunter, so there's no emotional investment involved. Hopefully the story won't be dragged on for the rest of the year.

It will take the police about 15 minutes to find the car, which is 2 foot away from the buried body and then we’ll have a silly investigation, Munter looking moody with a gun, police arresting the wrong people (Jack is my guess for that one) we might even have a visit from the atrocious Ciara

Not me, if they are both dead there isn’t any more story lines or characters we know or care about. Munter lost most of
School friends so no ones going notice he’s gone. After a week not miss Mel either.

Mel was Owen once : she was married to Ray before so must have been Kelly when she was in Portugal ( for a while) then she divorced him.
She was credited as Owen when she came back in it ( I believe) so she has changed her name a lot. She was Mrs Ian Beale once ( for five minutes)

Most of the DNA can be explained by the fact that they all live together. Bits of dress and anything left at the scene won't though.
