Maya is a textbook groomer! Master manipulator. Keeping him dangling, giving him the cold shoulder, switching hot and cold, promising him sex “later” as a birthday present. It’s actually really horrible to watch. The poor kids head is being pulled in ten directions.

I thought Maya stopped it going further tonight as she's waiting until he turns 16. She thinks she's protecting herself as he'll be over the age of consent. Never mind the months of grooming that's gone on!

That’s what I thought too princess I think when she saw the photo it dawned on her that he was legally underage and that there is a difference in how she would be treated if caught before he was 16.

When Vanessa and Kirin got together he was only 17 and still at school and she was around 40 but the story was played for laughs at first even though he was only a year older than Jacob is. I wonder if they will show her reaction when this all comes out.

Yes he's the father. I do think it's totally different with him and Vanessa, and the grooming story that's going on now, as Vanessa did absolutely nothing wrong.

Yes agree this story is totally different. There’s the teacher/student power dynamic. She is also his father’s partner. And sooo much manipulation. Vanessa did none of that.

I'm a huge Emmerdale fan but I really hate the grooming storyline with Maya and Jacob. Want it to end VERY soon!

I also REALLY want it discovered that Cain didn't kill Joe but not sure how that would happen. Ned Porteous has swanned off to try his luck in the states shame and I think if Graham did finish the character of Joe off then he would have buried him many miles away and somewhere hardly likely to be found bearing in mind his presumed SAS background.

Of course, Joe could always return with a new head Grin.

Perhaps Maya and Jacob will get caught in bed together by David or Liv. It needs to end soon.

I forgot about Vanessa and Kirin. I think Vanessa was duped as she met him in a Hotten nightclub and thought/was told he was older. Still dodgy though.

The producers/writers are probably hoping Ned's dreams are dashed in the States and they can write Joe back in the show in time for Christmas.

Well if Hotton High is like any other school in the country it would be drummed firmly into teachers heads that you don't have anything to do with pupils, whether they are 15, 16 or 18. I'm another that wants it over soon as.
Much like the Debbie/Joe/Cain thing. Kerry especially is seriously getting on my nerves.

I know I should be feeling sympathy for Jacob, but he's a bit of a twat really isn't he. I mean, if you're trying to keep something secret and you've been told it's essential you're more careful in future, you're a bit of an idiot to let your mate think you're going to spend the night with your girlfriend (noah is bound to mention it to liv) and even more of one to leave the hotel booking out on your bedroom floor.

I think this storyline is becoming a bit farcical now tbh.
