I don't know how the judges dared make faces - they praised everyone to the skies, so how can they complain?

I'm more pleased for Kevin to be honest. I know people on here don't like him, but he has been so lovely with all his partners and really gets the best out of them. I think this will be his last series and he will quit on a high like Joanne, Aliona, Flavia etc did.

It's also been four years since the last women winner. So it's long overdue.

So glad for KFG and Stacey - it was only right. If I'm honest though, Faye was my favourite on the night. I wouldn't have minded it if she had won.

Loved the judge faces. Darcey's sneer would have bent metal let alone curdled milk...

Favourite moment (and it made me cry) was Karen congratulating Kevin.

No ringers or professional dancers or dance show judges next year please. Yes?

No Darcey either. Yes?

Happy with that result, Stacey and Kevin definitely embodied the joy of SCD. I was expecting it to be Joe as everyone was banging on about his following. I enjoyed Faye's dancing the most - their Charleston has become one of my all-time favourite strictly dances, i've watched it over and over.

Hope the producers will learn a lesson from the Ashley nonsense. Doesn't matter how much the ringer guffs on about their journey or how much the judges fawn and pull out the 10's, people aren't having it.

The judges have praised Stacey all along, I can't believe they'd be annoyed at her winning? After all Bruno and Craig had to sit there and watch Chris Hollins winning, Stacey is like Jill Halfpenny next to him.

i really thought Joe would win. so was so pleased that Stacey did.
i feel sorry for any singer who sings on SCD as they always end up sounding terrible.

When Stacey and Kevin were being interviewed after their final dance, I thought Karen looked very emotional. I'm guessing she felt Kevin was close to winning and knew what it meant. I suspect Kevin will leave on a high but he'll be a massive loss. He seems to know how to build good relationships with the celebs which is essential when you're coaching someone.
Stacey may not have been the best dancer, technically, but I loved watching her and I thought her progress was incredible.
Faye has clearly been dancing her whole life.Ashley took a lot of stick but Faye is as bad.

Darcey always looks like her shit sequins don't stink. I'd rather have Alesha back than Darcey. And that's saying something.

I would love to have Shirl and Arlene together on the panel.

I thought Ashley and Faye were outstanding tonight and both deserved to win.

Having said that I am pleased for Stacey as she has done brilliantly from being a complete novice.

I like Joe but always thought Joe has been over marked from the start. There's no way he deserved some of those 10s when you compared him to the other finalists.

I think Faye's problem was that her personality wasn't as big as the others but tonight when you saw what it meant to her and when she got all teary eyed over the third dance it was then I thought she was the deserved winner.

Great final though.

I wanted Faye and Gio to win, but happy for Stacey and Kev.

Shirley hit her stride this series. She's tough but does try to offer constructive advice. Darcy has been really grumpy this series and offered nothing useful

Joe was the first to hug Stacey and Stacey had said previously he was her best mate on the show so i don't agree with the Joe was pissed off comments.

I thought Ashley chose well with the Trolls dance - a chance to show a fun less intense side to herself
Faye's dances were amazing and gorgeous and had more emotional connection than Ashley's
Joe - I loved his show dance for sheer exuberance and thought his Paso was an improvement but actually preferred his Charleston in week 2
Stacey - loved her dances - thought her show dance was a bit "bitty" but still enjoyed it.
Overall, enjoyed the final and happy with Stacey winning! And Joe and Dianne are soooo together

On a side note- on the Watch channel just now there is is a Stacey Dooley documentary on where she is in a boot camp woman's prison in the US. It's quite an eye opener! Hadn't really seen much of her stuff before, it's from 2012.

@myrtleWilson - Agreed, Joe immediately hugged Stacey right away. I think he just looked nervous beforehand, he looked really genuinely happy for her once announced!

Think some people on here just decided to hate Joe for whatever reason, especially for things he can't control. Or maybe because of his job? So many of the pros and celebrities had great things to say about him and said he was their best mate at some point in the competition, & how hard he worked... surely they can't all be lying.

Think Faye was best overall tonight, pure class, but was a really good night and hope they all have a nice break over Christmas before training begins again for the tour! Smile
Be interesting to hear of any gossip from the after-parties tonight! Grin

Just re-watched Pash and Ash, their first two dances were amazing. Pasha must be incredibly strong to do all those lifts.

Loved it tonight. I thought Ashley and Faye both danced out of their skin. I think Faye missed a trick though and should have chosen the Greece quickstep rather than the theatre jazz one as I think it would have been more popular with the voters. Stacey has probably been my favourite throughout the series, though agree she didn't dance as well as she can tonight and looked a bit tired. All the pros seemed delighted that Kev had won. He seems to love strictly so I'd be surprised if he left, but guess we'll have to wait and see.

How many 10s this series? Surely the most ever. Made it really difficult to judge the dances with so many 'perfect' scores

I voted Stacey I’m glad she won. Enjoyed Faye's dancing tonight
