I am in absolute stitches watching this show Grin

It was better when Cathy just bragged a lot and made sly digs. Hopefully the punch is a sort of line in the sand moment and they'll tone the character down a bit.

AmIthatbloodycold · 15/02/2019 20:42

I've binge watched

Cathy is awful and Christine too. Beth is such a wet blanket I wouldn't stand for any of that

But I still laugh out loud at it Grin

I can't work out the layout of Cathy and Colin's house

I'm watching the pilot and it's not very good. I've watched series 2 and love it

MrsJayy · 15/02/2019 22:03

I saw the pilot on Gold not great is it

HollowTalk · 15/02/2019 22:32

No, it really isn't. I only watched 10 minutes, though. I'm watching series 1, episode 1 now - it's certainly a programme that gets better with time.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/02/2019 22:20

It's brilliant!

I love every minute of it - Cath getting lamped at the end of the last episode had DH and me in stitches (it was well deserved!),

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/02/2019 22:24

Doon MacKichan - She isn't Scottish? I aways thought she was - even her name sounds like a Scottish home improvements programme.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/02/2019 22:30

I miss Sophie bouncing off Christine

I can't remember seeing Sophie - just hearing Christine talking about her. I wonder if I have missed the first series?

And is Mum back on? I LOVED that - it was hilarious, but so gentle.

Coldandfrosty · 17/02/2019 22:36

Arabellas family are all Scottish, her parents left Scotland but all her relatives on both sides are.

MrsJayy · 17/02/2019 22:50

Sophie was in series 1 &2 she is the girl who was in my mad fat diary on ch4 blew my mind when I realised she was scottish

MrsJayy · 17/02/2019 22:55

Just watching the first series now - have to admit that if I'd seen the pilot when it came out, I wouldn't have bothered with the series - so I'm pleases I didn't.

We are all going round doing sign language for rude words to each other at work :)

Piggywaspushed · 18/02/2019 21:48

On a point of order, am just watching opening credits and I don't think that's Newton Mearns....

KatoPotato · 19/02/2019 01:21

Outdoor shots are Bishopbriggs. Indoor sets are in Dumbarton studios.

MrsJackRackham · 19/02/2019 22:03

The outdoor shots in the new series are shot in Hamilton. One of the house owners in Bishopbriggs had a falling out with the production crew apparently.

Piggywaspushed · 19/02/2019 22:34

Yeah, I read about that : sounds like an episode of the programme!

RuggyPeg · 20/02/2019 22:12

I love it! Loved Mum too and Grandmas House, which was similar.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 21/02/2019 09:48

Had the series finished now? I haven't seen it this week.

foxyknoxy30 · 21/02/2019 13:07

Yep I stay in Bishopbriggs and recognise the street , never thought I would see my wee hometown name on mumsnet

Piggywaspushed · 21/02/2019 14:15

Bishopbriggs often comes up on 'nice places to live near Glasgow' threads ! Smile

SoSaidTheHorse · 21/02/2019 15:40

Which part of Bishopbriggs is it in? What is it near? It looks familiar but even with the street name I can't quite place it.

KatoPotato · 22/02/2019 20:54

It's the furthest most part of the meadiwburn loop, where the contentious new house are being built.

Groovee · 23/02/2019 16:15

I found this by accident in the first series. Have loved it since.

Livedandlearned · 24/02/2019 21:00

Does anyone know when Mum is back on?
