I get annoyedat the ‘you shouldn’t be in the dance off’ that they keep doing. There was only 6 of them and two have to be in the dance off, it’s not that unlikely. They also only say it to certain people implying the others should. Ashley will be first out in the final.

Just catching up. Gutted for Charles and Karen. Their dance was gorgeous.

It’s particularly dumb to do the “I can’t believe you’re in the dance-off!” thing when you’ve given everyone either a 9 or a 10. Clearly there’s very little in it according to the way you judged, so why are you so shocked?

I do feel robbed of seeing Charles’ Paso in the semi-final and a reprise of his Couple’s Choice and Samba in the final.

I will be voting hard for Gavin and Stacey now

Yes, I thought her speech was quite pointed. So who DOESN'T respect her as a woman, a friend and a teacher?? Is that a dig at Kevin?

I think I read that they don't release voting numbers as so to protect the celebrities from knowing exactly how unpopular they are. (Or popular!)
It's a fact used when wooing the slebs to sign up. Their ego remains unbruised from the actual British voting truth

Hello. Just checking in. I was out last night, so watched the results on catchup. I’m not terribly surprised by the result. It will be very interesting to see who is against Ashley in the DO next week.

Yes I thought that was an interesting comment. He never came across as leery to me. I thought he was quite old fashioned gentlemanly. It was a quite unusual and pointed remark, I thought.

Yeah I thought that comment from Karen was pointed. Maybe she's had some dodgy celebrities in the past, or referring to a different male being handsy/disrespectful to a female on the show

Just watched tom chambers show dance I only started watching strictly when Louis Smith won so had never seen him other than the Christmas charleston he did with Oti a couple years back. Even In his show dance he had a stage school gurning face about him. Fab dance though

I loved Faye and Giovanni. Not so keen on Joe.

Lauren's was my favourite dance on Saturday night. She got one of my votes and Charles two as I really wanted him to stay. Ashley was just too fast and busy, Faye's was just silly to me, and I hated Joe's. Really hoping joe is in the DO next week. I liked him initially as he seemed good for a novice, but he just looks like a daddy long legs when he dances, and having seen some of the nonsense he posts in his 'job' I was totally put off. Stacey for the win now.

Did anyone hear that awful Dan Wootton on Lorraine this morning? He reckons an strictly insider has leaked that Lauren and AJ are getting the most viewer votes every week!

What's the deal with Pasha and Ashley? When she was talking to Tess about being in the dance off Ashley got quite visibly upset and Pasha couldn't have given less of a shit about her. He seemed totally bored and disinterested. He's never been a very demonstrative person, but he always seemed kind and attentive to his previous partners. I'm pretty sure that he's worked out that they have no chance at all of winning, so perhaps he's lost his competitive edge and wasn't all that fussed about being in the dance off, but I would expect him to still have some sort of interest and involvement with his dance partner.

Nacho I've been assuming that Joe gets the most votes, purely because his dance videos have a huge number of views on YouTube, Lauren is usually near the bottom of the viewing numbers.

Very sweet speeches from both Charles and Karen, are there any rumours about them ? they did seem 'close'.

I know things are edited but I was shocked by the insensitivity of Ashley's comments at the end, considering that Charles is not a ringer. Does anyone lip read? I was wondering what Pash said to Charles at the end.

Did anyone hear Tony Beak on Chris Evans this morning? He was clearly toeing the party line, saying what a fabulous series it is, how everyone was fantastic, Saturday night was brilliant, Charles was best male celeb rumba ever, everyone deserving 9&10s, yada yada.....
He also praised Shirley for her knowledge and dance skills, altho did say he didn't always agree with her marks
Also asked by a listener who chose the dances and songs each week, cos some songs were rubbish! He laughed at that but then seemed to be back on BBC message by saying producers choose order of dances to give a mixture each week, tho sometimes this can change down the line. Pros choreograph dances but can have experts in for about 4 hours for AT, salsa and Charleston. Pros choose music but, because it gets harder to find new music after 16 series, the producers can veto choices, then pro will liaise with music director to find something else but similar to original song.

The biggest shock for me was in the opening number on Saturday night, when Bruno was dancing. I actually choked on a prawn cracker - no wonder he sits legs akimbo when up with Claud!

kazza Charles was not mentioned just a fake " Great we're still in and we're looking forward to next week" Type of thing.

I thought Karen was trying to make a point that Charles was respectful and treated her like the professional she is- who knows who she was digging at but it felt genuine about him.
