Apologies if a duplicate

And we're back

My nearly 5 yar old loves AJ. I assume its because he thinks they would be great friends and he'd enjoy playing Pokemon etc
Joe's salsa was awful, and his red trousers were even worse. Shudder

Theknacktoflying · 03/12/2018 13:06

Again, if it is going to be fair the judges need to order dances after every couple has danced ... or just stop the farce and nail their colours go the mast and go all x-factor ...

Graceadlerdesigns · 03/12/2018 13:36

I noticed Karen's remarks about respecting her as a woman. My assumption was that past celebs have been less than respectful. They were a good partnership.

Undecided who I want to win. I love Stacey and Les miserables bit the dance didn't have the emotional impact on me that it appeared to have on the judges. Hmm

SchadenfreudePersonified · 03/12/2018 15:06

fleas

I've been worried sick!

I opened a window on the thread, called your name and rattled a box of Malteasers - nothing!

I thought you'd been stolen, or had curled up in front of the TV in some stranger's living room, and they'd started to feed you, so you'd decided to stay there.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 03/12/2018 15:11

What does salad days mean?

Before we had experience and had become cynical and jaded knew better.

Is from Julius Caesar - Cleopatra is regretting shagging Caesar and attributes her poor judgement to being young and daft - "My salad days, / When I was green in judgment".

Encyclo · 03/12/2018 15:13

Karen repeated those comments on Instagram. She’s definitely making a point

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 03/12/2018 15:25

Would love to know who Karen is making those remarks to.

EvilRingahBitch · 03/12/2018 15:38

Either could have been a defence of Charles against comments that he was overflirty at the beginning of the series (though more with Oti/Tess than Karen) or aimed at Kevin/Simon Rimmer (or possibly an earlier partner but why would she have waited until now?)

FleeBee · 03/12/2018 15:42

Is it to her ex? Didn't he say last year during SCD that he's not been a nice person to live with when the series is on.

ApolloandDaphne · 03/12/2018 15:49

I have just caught up as I was away at the weekend. I think Charles time had come. It is so hard at this stage of the show. They are all pretty good now.

Theromanempire · 03/12/2018 17:05

Just catching up with the thread. I did wonder who Karen's comments were directed to/about although I think Charles came across really well in his farewell speech. He did come across as sleazy at the start of the series but definitely seemed to calm that down as it progressed so I wonder if it was a comment towards all the criticism of him. Guess we will never know Wink

Lauren has the samba next week - that is not going to go well is it?

Figgygal · 03/12/2018 17:06

" They are all pretty good now"

No they're not it's a travesty that Lauren is still there and joe was abominable on Saturday

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 03/12/2018 17:11

I've been to visit the lemurs and the giant tortoises melen, 'twas very wonderful.

I swear I heard those Malteasers being rattled Schaden!.

dontcallmelen · 03/12/2018 17:47

Ooh Cats sounds amazing, wishing I hadn’t failed my ‘O’ level geography so could work out where Cats has been, especially as she could still hear the rattle of Malteasers 🤔

dontcallmelen · 03/12/2018 17:50

I think I’m past caring who does what now, after the debacle that was Saturday night, bonkers marking & scores it’s all a bit jaded & feels so contrived this series, I’ve come all over bah humbug.

EvilRingahBitch · 03/12/2018 17:53

Joe’s been getting a lot of flack - understandably because his last two dances were a pile of bobbins - but he’s produced some properly lovely Len-baiting ballroom, so I’m hoping for a cracking VW from him in the semifinal. Not sure what else though - his options are rumba, Tango and Argentine Tango, none of which are a natural fit for him given his pleasantly lightweight persona, inability to lift Diane and total absence of hips.

EvilRingahBitch · 03/12/2018 18:03

Though a poster on DS has suggested that Joe and Diane should go full-on “He’s 27 Tess!” and do a dirty filthy rumba, and I do have some sympathy for that approach - a rumba might be a bit of a stretch but it would be great to see him attempt a very sexy AT (with the lifts substituted with even more sexy leg action). If he could manage a real fan-yourself AT that removes Darcy’s power of speech then I’d be happy to see him win the glitterball.

Encyclo · 03/12/2018 18:21

Re-Karen, I saw some real warmth between her and Kevin at the end of the show so I do t think it was aimed at him. I think it was aimed at the comments about Charles at the start of the season. Good for her for defending him if so.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 03/12/2018 18:26

Look what I found!

www.theballroomboys.com

I may just faint...

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 03/12/2018 18:29

I've already bought tickets for that when they come to Dublin Fleas. I'm looking forward to it, but trying to rein in my excitement a bit because it's not until June. That much excitement for seven months can't be good for the health of a peri-menopausal woman. Grin

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 03/12/2018 18:44

Charles was/is a bit cocky looking on IT2 tonight. I think it was supposed to look like he was modest & emotional to have been binned but instead he just looked stroppy to me.

derxa · 03/12/2018 18:51

Charles was/is a bit cocky looking on IT2 tonight. He was crying.

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 03/12/2018 18:51

I know things are edited but I was shocked by the insensitivity of Ashley's comments at the end, considering that Charles is not a ringer.

kazza Charles was not mentioned just a fake " Great we're still in and we're looking forward to next week" Type of thing.

Am I missing something? How was Ashley 'insensitive'? Confused

Encyclo · 03/12/2018 18:55

How was he stroppy? Charles was so genuine on ITT, he was an emotional wreck, crying and laughing and then crying a bit more.

I think he’s a lovely man.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 03/12/2018 19:08

Oh my word, Sugar, how will you contain yourself? I don’t think Mr Fleas could be persuaded, DD maybe. They never know what to get me for my birthday anyway.

Vincent is my favourite pro EVER!
