Aren't they a door within a door? So I guess the big door that they open for the cars to get in is full height, so the door within the door has to be little to fit inside.

MiddleClassProblem · 27/02/2019 07:03

That’s it! Thank you Smidge

TeslaGirls · 27/02/2019 14:09

Loved the reunion today Grin Took me a while to get all the references but loved it!

Clawdy · 27/02/2019 19:21

Ooh, what were the references??

Cherrypie32 · 27/02/2019 19:35

What reunion, where??

Smidge001 · 27/02/2019 19:52

Yeah, what réunion ?

SleepingStandingUp · 27/02/2019 19:55

The book club??

I think teslagirls is on the wrong thread Grin

MiddleClassProblem · 27/02/2019 22:05

We’re they all cell block H?

Fletch the Letch 😂

TeslaGirls · 27/02/2019 22:31

Smidge correct thread, just a long time lurker terrified of inadvertently posting a spoiler Grin

Middle yes all the denim clad book group ladies were in Prisoner - I especially loved the not so subtle pic of Dr K with the roses, which lead in to he used to bring me roses Grin

TeslaGirls · 27/02/2019 22:33

Clawdy when one of the book group was told she was being as quiet as a mouse, her nick name in Prisoner was Mouse Smile

Starburst8 · 27/02/2019 22:38

I picked up on Fletch the Letch but didn't cotton on.
I knew the ladies from Cell Block H were having a cameo but again I didn't pay attention so the book group ladies went well and truly over my head.

@TeslaGirls there's a spoiler page on here, not sure if you're part of it or not Smile

Cherrypie32 · 27/02/2019 22:46

Well I never, that was clever. I wasn’t really taking much notice today but I should have! My Prisoner refs will be sketchy though.

Clawdy · 27/02/2019 22:50

Thanks, Tesla that makes sense now, thought it was a rather odd scene! Grin

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 27/02/2019 22:50

I liked the reference to their friend Doreen that slept with a teddy and cried all the time 😂

It’s a sad fact that Paul and Therese together = instant dullness

RescueRemedy21 · 27/02/2019 22:54

References I picked up on:
*Lady who said she was burning hot died in a fire
*Denim was because they all wore denim
*Going to sleep with a teddy bear was something Shelia's character did

  • Roses was because of theme tune - I used to bring her roses...
  • All their names were a mixture of cbh character names
  • Distain at someone who had been inside..

Anyone got any others?

SleepingStandingUp · 27/02/2019 22:57

I'm too young and didn't watch it 😂

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 27/02/2019 23:01

They re-ran it at some point in the UK. I remember coming in late (and drunk) and watching it in my teens. Also waking up on the sofa as it finished. It was on after midnight I think.

MiddleClassProblem · 27/02/2019 23:09

I didn’t get any of the references as I never watched it (too young) but I had seen somewhere a neighbours thing about it being 40 years old or something and knew Sheila had been in it.

I didn’t realise Fletch the Letch was a character. I was laughing at the fourth wall being tampered with 😂

MiddleClassProblem · 27/02/2019 23:09

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster it was probably on Gold or something

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 27/02/2019 23:39

Erm yes Middle it must have been on Gold because clearly I am not old enough to have been frequenting pubs in the days before multi-channel TV

I feel like it was on Channel 5, but I’m not sure Channel 5 existed then 😳

MiddleClassProblem · 27/02/2019 23:42

😂

Although I feel we had hold on cable before channel 5 on terrestrial...

MiddleClassProblem · 27/02/2019 23:43
  • gold not hold. My thumbs are like flexible mars bars strapped to my hands... not great for accuracy
TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 27/02/2019 23:49

Have checked. It’s transmission on Channel 5 (which started the same week) coincides with my very early 20s - peak staying up late after the pub days!

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 27/02/2019 23:50

Its - effing autocorrect.
