Anyone know how I can complain about last nights fiasco?

Complain about what, and why? There was a mistake, it was embarrassing and shambolic, but I don't get what there is to complain about

Complain? About the cockup or the dodgy marking? For heavens sake it’s a Saturday night live entertainment show.

Cockups just add to the fun - the only person who suffered was Ashley who didn’t understand what was happening and suffered a blood pressure spike.

Admittedly IMO Stacey and especially Joe were shockingly overmarked - but I’m not convinced it altered the leaderboard or will affect the dance-off results.

Fed up of Ashley now.

Hated Kev and Stacey's paso but then it's normally one of my favourite dances and that one was just weird. She just seemed to stomp around a lot and there seemed to be some strange twists to a traditional paso.

Loved Faye's waltz and really hoped that it would finally be her 40 but no.

Joe looked dreadful and his dance was dreadful.

As for the Lindy thing car crash... Shows how inexperienced Shirley is at this compared to the others - the minute she had to go off piste it all fell apart. You know it's a disaster when Bruno has to take charge 😂

Interesting you tube videos, dance time with Ashley Roberts and dance life with Ashley Roberts. I understand that many actors have drama school training and that’s ok but this clearly goes way beyond that, she considers herself a dancer and dancing is her life. The other ringers on the show still had things to learn and frequently were not great, Danny and Danny! But she is just flat out fabulous as she should be given her interest!

All caught up now as out last night. Dear god the Lindyhopathon judging was a shambles. And surely Lauren cannot avoid the dance off this week? I shall get very suspicious if she does.

I think that casual viewers won’t necessarily know that for example Caroline Flack and Jay McGuinness had dance degrees (more or less) or that Louise was a judge on that Sky dance show. But the overlap in viewership between SCD and DOI is quite large, so I’m guessing far more people would remember Ashley as the dance element judge on that .

OzzyMadBat Your list proves the point I was making - none of them won DWTS and I predict the same will be true of Ashley, she is more than likely to come 2nd or 3rd.

Karen hasn't been herself all series. In previous series she's been incredibly annoying with her gurning and constant hyperactivity but at least she seemed happy and enthusiastic. It's been noticeable how unhappy she's seemed this year, by contrast. I hope she is alright.

I'm really not enjoying this series. I don't particularly feel invested in any of them and so many of the contestants haven't been likeable.

tadpole That certainly wasn't mentioned at the beginning. It does seem unfair to have someone SO experienced in dance entering. Like having Shirley in it!!

I'm not keen on her seemingly fake lips.

Interesting how many people on her aren’t enjoying it as much this year - myself included.

Monkseal's summary of last night is up, and he comments on what I'm feeling, certainly: that for weeks we've been going through the motions towards a Stacey/Joe win - everyone will be oh so suprised and delighted because they've been on a proper journeeeeeeee and this is what Strictly's all about and ooh ickle Joe he's so cute, and I will feel just as meh! as I did when bloody Joe McFadden won last year when we actually had the chance of a genuinely surprising and rewarding winner in Debbie who, yes, had some training but was also much older and we had all watched a really sweet relationship evolve between her and Giovanni. It made me see him COMPLETELY differently. And instead we had Joe "cba to return for the first episode because I'm too good for Strictly" McFadden.

I'm enjoying it , I applauded Stacey last night all on my own!! It's always been a mix of good and annoying ,and loud! I still love it though.

I'd love it if it was Zoe and Claud on main show and one of the ex dancers like Ian doing ITT or even another former contestant

I wish the powers that be would be brave and get rid of Tess and Shirley and have Claudia and Zoe do the main show and bring back Arline. She's back for a special so it's possible.

Sorry Cass I didn't realise you meant winners rather than finalists (I had come from another forum where it was suggested yanks just didn't vote for brits). You are right - no Brit has ever won dwts...not sure whether that had much to do with nationality though.
Ashley was very very close to winning IACGMOOH however - That series is in the stats as the closest result thus far: Charlie Brooks won with only 50.56% of the vote.
