I think that is a mousse not a blancmange. Would still plant my face in the centre of any of the plates ,except Manons, and hoover it all

FuzzyCustard · 18/09/2018 20:34

viques I own an original 1950's rabbit shape mould! And a 1920s (I think) ceramic lion shaped one called "THE BRITISH LION" (It needs capitals) I used to make lion jellies for my kids, but the mould was a bit big for a standard packet of jelly, so the lion never got paws or a tassel on his tail.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/09/2018 20:34

It is indeed, Wolfy

Viques - a real blancmange sculptor can knock those up from solid blancmange, no bother. Sadly Margaret Thatcher closed down all the blancmange mines and the miners and associated industries died out, their close-knit communities destroyed by one wumman's spite.

CowInTheMeadow · 18/09/2018 20:35

I now want Angel Delight.

FuzzyCustard · 18/09/2018 20:35

Cowinameadow I expect I was talking crap and waffle (or is it woffle?) on the other thread. I usually am!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/09/2018 20:35

"Blancmange" and "delicious"

Words that I never thought would share a sentence.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/09/2018 20:36

I want Angel Delight now you have mentioned it Cow.

Butterscotch flavour.

Taffeta · 18/09/2018 20:36

The technicals are just getting more and more random

CowInTheMeadow · 18/09/2018 20:38

Oh yeah, definitely butterscotch.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/09/2018 20:38

Agree Taffeta

FuzzyCustard · 18/09/2018 20:38

Schady You mean it was that meany Thatcher who paved the way for an influx of forrin blancmanges aka pannacotta? Well, if that's not a valid reason for Brexit I don't know what is!

Not really, I don't want to bring Things Brexitty onto this lovely thread.

Wolfcub · 18/09/2018 20:38

Grin Schaden
Taffeta I’m not even convinced the technicals are about baking anymore. I wouldn’t call blancmange baking

CowInTheMeadow · 18/09/2018 20:38

It'll be a roast dinner next week

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 18/09/2018 20:39

Bleuggghh, blancmange!!! I refuse to believe that tasted nice. Very wisely they gave us roulades in the same week.

Completely agree about The Hollywood Handshake. Actually that sounds like a most unsavoury euphemism. Confused

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/09/2018 20:39

Bryony hasn't half got a face on!

CowInTheMeadow · 18/09/2018 20:39

(with a biscuit in the side to dip in the gravy)

Wolfcub · 18/09/2018 20:39

I wonder how Paul avoids getting fake tan in his beard

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 18/09/2018 20:40

Ooh, I wasn't allowed Angel Delight as a child, so used to scoff it by the bowlful as a stoned student.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/09/2018 20:40

It does an' all fleas!

viques · 18/09/2018 20:40

fuzzy aw, I don't suppose you'd care to knock up a lion jelly for us for next week [flower] . If you used two jellies he could have paws and a tassel.....

Such a shame about the blancmange mines, I'm surprised some enterprising millennial hasnt sourced Eastern European blancmange and opened up a blancmange cafe in Dalston.

FuzzyCustard · 18/09/2018 20:40

Cor blimey to the Showstopper. I'm flummoxed already.

Taffeta · 18/09/2018 20:40

Yy Wolf - I suppose that’s why they added some shit biscuits on the side Hmm

AngeloMysterioso · 18/09/2018 20:41

Butterscotch angel delight is the food of the Gods

wowfudge · 18/09/2018 20:41

I've got a patisserie book and things like that are in there because you can use them as fillings in stuff.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/09/2018 20:41

It contains all of the major junk food groups Greebo

You couldn't have chosen anything less nourishing. Ideal student fare (especially if accompanied by a fine bottle of guinness)
