Ha I ended up watching a bit of Goffin v Schwartzman, it was really good actually! But I got too tired.

It looks like the replay is on Amazon so will try and tune in later...

I must say, there is a lot of eye candy* on the team Europe bench . Tomas Enqvist has always been a good looking bloke.

I ended up going to bed early, and then having a horrendous night, so didn't see anything.

Must be a Laver Cup thing, choosing funny coloured courts, last year they were murky green, and i found it really hard to watch because of it.

Very pleased to see Naomi is through to the Tokyo final, up against Pliskova, could be tricky, but I'm sure she will have huge crowd support.

Stan has just lost to Klizan.

Still, steady progress, and hopefully he will build on it.

And I've just realised the men's tournament in Tokyo hasnt happened yet . , because Stan is scheduled to play there next.

Just seen a video with Andy Murray explaining that he's playing 2 more tournaments in China and then he's calling time on his season. Let's hope he comes back stronger in 2019.

I really hope Andy can make a full recovery. It's such a shame.

I saw Andy's video as well. I thought he looked and sounded very positive, but who knows. You'd have to think he wouldn't go all the way to China if he didn't think he could do well there - I really hope so. It'd be great to have him back properly. Come on Andy!!

Private the comebacks are hard work, but, given Stan's age ( Which is getting on a bit for a tennis player coming back from injury)he's done the right things, and taken it fairly slowly.

I think in Murray's case, the media pressure doesn't help. Stan doesn't have that, what with always being the number 2 Swiss player.

Haven't been able to watch properly because I've been feeding the hungry.

Ahh, Jane people keep expecting to be fed here too. And then expecting me to do it in shifts, because it is Saturday, and dh runs dd1's football team.

Yes that's true re Stan. I hope he can keep building on this. Such a great player to watch when he's on form. But it feels like very slow progress.

The lines person mistakenly called the ball out and the umpire told Kgyrios to replay the point but they were arguing that Roger would not have made the return had it been called correctly which he wouldn't have but rules are rules!

The Laver Cup (omg if my phone corrects to the "Paver" Cup one more time I'm going to chuck it out of the window!!! Argh!) anyway yes, it's using different rules isn't it? Do they have deuce? I can't remember what they've changed... Might look it up (because what else would I be doing at almost midnight on a Saturday night?!?)...

Well it's Delpo's birthday today and I've discovered that my factoid about the slam winners was wrong, because that pesky Marin Cilic doesn't turn 30 until next week. (I thought he was already 30.) So once he's 30, there won't be any active slam winners in their 20s.
