Last night on BOTS, Emma said it was a very edited version of the interview. She said they talked for ages, but obviously there wasn’t time to show the whole thing. I guess they got it down to the main bits.

Enrique I’ve come across people like Roxie before who can absolutely convince themselves that something is true because they need it to be true. Even when confronted with cast iron evidence that what they are saying is not factually accurate they will nod and smile and go along with it whilst secretly (or not so secretly) thinking they are the one humouring a fantasist.

I am thinking of one individual in particular who was perpetrating enormous expenses frauds (eg flying his wife and family first class on a holiday and claiming it as a business trip to visit a client who was on a different continent on those dates was a regular occurrence as was charging the company thousands of pounds over the ticket prices for entertaining clients at sporting venues where his family held debentures ).
He got away with it for years because he was so shameless about blatantly lying when confronted. Eventually a forensic accountant pinned him down with names, dates, credit card bill, witness statements, the lot and he had to admit he may have been mistaken about the dates he saw said clients and who he was entertaining in the particular Michelin starred restaurant those evenings etc and had to repay many, many thousands of pounds and was forcibly moved to a consultant role on a set annual cost where he could no longer claim expenses. Rather than being ashamed at being exposed as a thief he presented it to his colleagues all of whom knew the truth) as ‘oh, you know how pernickity those young bean counters are these days. ‘

Like Roxanne he was also completely self centred and totally without empathy, classic psychopathic traits and not uncommon in outwardly successful individuals.

I can't be done with Sally. She has something about the early evening about her. Not as nightly Roxanne but definitely shady.

And I'm close to calling b#*tard. She has been poisoning the house since day 1.

I too like Hardeep. Can't help it. If I was in that house with that shower, I too would be vocal. And probably a bit of an arse.

He was one of the first to soothe Ryan and stick up for him but yet Ryan was snide. He was the first to see through Toxy too.

Don't get me wrong, what happened with Ryan was shameful but Ryan just wasn't nice that night - although no doubt it will be proclaimed bants.

Nick is ok. He has been a pleasant surprise.

I wonder if Nick's time in prison has contributed to his calm manner in the house ? I was watching him folding his clothes in the bedroom last night, and it occurred to me how self contained and respectful he was of other people's personal space.

I guess if you've had to survive in prison, you have to find strategies to fit in but also protect yourself.

I think I'd be meeting my maker thanks to a sharpened spoon in a toothbrush handle if I had to go to prison. I have a thing about unnecessary noise and would lose my teddies.

I hate letters night with every fat cell in my being.

The great big hairy weeping fuss they make of it does not tally with the amount of time they've been away from their families.

I do like the twist of Sally's gift finding the letters though!

I am crying my eyes out as it has been 4 hours since I've seen my mam.

Dusters I'd agree about Nick.

I'd be an awful housemate. I wouldn't cope with sleeping in a dormitory, or having everyone else's mess around. I wouldn't like the whole encroachment on personal space or the late night noise. I'm very much a team player work and life advancement wise, but am just not a happy camper type. I like my personal time to be comfortable, calm and quiet.

Currently I'm finding myself disliking Sally and all her campaigning against Hardeep, although she seemed nice previously and perceptive. In the house I mean, not career wise. Hardeep I like as a housemate, because he's more complex and his issues are more wide ranging than who hid the hair straighteners kind of stuff, but hell no, I wouldn't want to share living space with him.

I'm disappointed by what we're seeing of Kirstie.

Anyway. I'm here.
