Afternoon, PWBs, I've not posted on this chat this year, as I've been around 2 days behind throughout. So I'm now delurking, as I've caught up.
Hardeep - I honestly don't see anything outrageous in his behaviour. My parents would use phrases like "a top the size of a postage stamp" etc, so maybe it's partly his dry Scottish delivery that makes him seem obnoxious rather than just trying to be funny or a bit cheeky. And a pp mentioned him always giving the middle finger to HMs - I've only seen it done to the ones he's friends with, and always done in a tongue in cheek way.
The editing is so misleading (as always). When they were in the living room doing the nominations, Hardeep and the others were having a proper laugh, Hardeep was so much more animated and happy looking. So it seems there are so many more lighthearted moments than we're getting to see.
In the exit interviews, I still cannot abide how we see the HMs' "Best Bits". They should really call them the "Bits We Didn't Show At Any Point". Years back, they were mainly highlights of what we had seen of them, but now it's just random stuff that we SHOULD have been shown earlier.
My friend worked in a theatre in Glasgow for a bit, and met Sally backstage. This was when her husband was still her manager/PA/whatever he was. According to my friend, the husband was a toxic piece of work, and was a complete arse to the (many) gay people working backstage. And he made a race-related comment or two. I've known this for years, and something just isnt sitting right with me re Sally's attitude to Hardeep. Goes beyond "he's irritating" to me.
