twisted yes it was very lucky for Ryan that it was filmed. Otherwise it would have turned into a he said/she said.
I'm quite amazed as to how she thought she would get away with it, presumably she has pulled this scam so many times before and thought her powers of persuasion would carry her through.
By the time the wheels started to come off it was too late for her to backtrack (although she did try to somewhat when the whole house turned).
Her original flying monkey Ban started to doubt/ not do what she wanted so she tried to switch to Germaine.
Ben having spilt the beans she then had to go full tilt with her circle.
Older housemates got wind and started to point out the bleeding obvious (that if there was any chance of it being true, ryan would be gone).
Dan went to big brother and had this confirmed, her inner circle now knows she is full of shit.
She accepts Ryan's apology in the hope it all goes away.
She hears the chants and knows the game is up and that the shit has hit the fan.
she leaves house through back door and works out a strategy with her agent/representation to limit the damage.

All the headlines online are 'I got it wrong.'

Like she made a simple mistake, got it wrong, a misunderstanding, could've happened to anyone.

She didn't 'get it wrong'. She told a fucking massive lie, then more massive lies, until she couldn't plausibly lie anymore.

I'm impressed she's out there in public so quickly though. I'd have lied low for weeks!

mooncuplanding · 03/09/2018 11:33

Can you imagine being her agent? Shock Shock

DioneTheDiabolist · 03/09/2018 11:35

mooncuplanding nails the dynamic that people like RP'S exploit so beautifully to their advantage and I agree with papayasareyum that the panelists would be being careful following the Kim Woodburn complaints last week. I don't agree that she has been coached though. She is brilliant at this all by herself. She may have rehearsed, but she didn't need anyone to coach her.

And it's worked.Halo Well done Roxanne.

mooncuplanding · 03/09/2018 11:35

I'm impressed she's out there in public so quickly though. I'd have lied low for weeks!

That gives some insight into the difference between normal people who would be cloaked in shame for weeks, months, years about this, and her who can front it up almost immediately because she has the delusion that she can actually still manipulate and influence people

Freyanna · 03/09/2018 11:36

Rhydian Roberts who is in Pantomime with Roxanne this Christmas has just tweeted this!

'At home testing out my new go pro. It’s bloody marvellous!' (body camera).

MarthasGinYard · 03/09/2018 11:37

Freyanna Grin

mooncuplanding · 03/09/2018 11:44

However...........isn't it interesting that the first thing she did was check the footage? I imagine until that point she didn't know whether she had got away with it. She had probably been of the mindset that the footage could have showed it 'either way' and her powers of manipulation would win through, because they always did. She probably thought it was an ambiguous situation which she could exploit and even when she left, probably thought she could milk it if the footage wasn't clear.

She reminds me of every narcissistic twat I have ever known, all of whom have got away with it.

qazxc · 03/09/2018 11:44

Will there be one for everyone in the audience?

MarthasGinYard · 03/09/2018 11:47

'I imagine until that point she didn't know whether she had got away with it.'

Re the footage Yes!!

Why on earth would you need footage to confirm if you knew you had been assaulted.

It's so incredibly twisted

PrincessScarlett · 03/09/2018 11:50

Agree, she didn't get it wrong. She lied and lied deliberately and maliciously and if it hadn't been for the cameras she would have completely destroyed Ryan's life. In my opinion she was not apologetic enough. It wasn't heartfelt, it wasn't natural or genuine, it was all an act.

Alistair Campbell is not stupid. I think the panel were briefed and AC's job was to defend her.

And they completely brushed over all the celebs and colleagues speaking out. Why are they being dismissed as "jumping on the bandwagon" when the same wasn't implied about all the actresses speaking out about Harvey Weinstein (Jeremy Vine brought in "me too" so that's why I have).

TwistedStitch · 03/09/2018 11:51

Rhydian also implies some history here.

Alistair Campbell recognised a fellow narc there.

chicken2015 · 03/09/2018 11:52

Im way more invested in this than should be! Should be getting ready for work!
Its just the whole injustice, she should be apologising for lying and trying to ruin a mans career not for thinking/feeling it was worse than it was. They r 2 different things. She also tried to rubbish claims of other co stars.

mooncuplanding · 03/09/2018 11:59

Why on earth would you need footage to confirm if you knew you had been assaulted.

She knew she hadn't been assaulted but she didn't really know what the footage would show...because he was making contact with her. I actually agree with her that her judgement was failing her in the house, because what she failed to judge correctly was that she was in the BB house and there would be obvious context we could see even if we could not even determine the strength of the 'punch'. We could all see his behaviour was playful, yes he made contact, and in her 'bad judgement' she just concentrated on the 'punch' / contact he made, and in that way she wasn't actually lying - he did make contact with her, admitted it himself. But she forgot that actions have a context and her usual lying ways are never given with context which is why she will usually get away with it.

I've learned this the hard way, and Ryan said it himself, if you make ONE wrong move with a narcissist, they have got you !

DioneTheDiabolist · 03/09/2018 12:00

Of course we're getting over invested! Psychopathy in action is fascinating.Grin

MarthasGinYard · 03/09/2018 12:02

Isn't it justShock

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 03/09/2018 12:06

Shouldn't be here, didn't see the interview but just wanted to share a wonderful Tweet I saw along the lines of

'Roxanne P accuses member of Jeremy Vine's production staff of trying to drown her. Footage showed they actually offered her a glass of water' Grin

chicken2015 · 03/09/2018 12:07

Psychopathy in action is fascinating.
That is exactly how i feel

mooncuplanding · 03/09/2018 12:09

And them actually being exposed is delightful!

So many just get away with it - just like she has for years

itswinetime · 03/09/2018 12:10

So she got it wrong in the moment!

What about after the lying shaking in the bed after, telling people he was staring at her smirking! the repeated times big brother said we have taken the appropriate action and probably stronger off camera! The multiple times she demonstrated to the blokes! What about when Ryan said what happened and you said he was lying!! Not to mention all the people that have come out to say she has done it before!! Where was the statement on Friday/Saturday apologiesing, but then words don't have the same impact without the doe eyes and contrite face I guess!

It's shameful that people are 'interviewing' her just so she can try and carry on manipulating things! If you aren't going to call her out then let her fade into oblivion!

AlevelConfusion · 03/09/2018 12:13

Why the hell did Jeremy say 'well done' to the bitch at the end, like she's some little kid? Angry

PrincessScarlett · 03/09/2018 12:16

Agree that apologising for being sensitive is not the same as apologising for trying to ruin a man's career/life. They are 2 completely separate things. She hasn't apologised for lying and what she did to Ryan at all. She's just excusing her behaviour.

papayasareyum · 03/09/2018 12:20

Matthew Wright would’ve tackled her properly. He would’ve asked tougher questions. He was never afraid to ask pertinent questions!

Cantnamechange · 03/09/2018 12:33

Delurking to say how come someone so sensitive didn't get upset when shown the footage of Ryan in the dairy room it made me well up and I'm not the one that caused it!
