it really grates on me when she talks. I don’t have a FFW option on my tv and there is no volume on my remote so I have to either switch the TV off or get up and turn the volume down on the set when she is talking. It’s tiresome

One thing I did notice last night was when Victoria said “I want you to leave” Matty did without any pleading, sulking, arguing etc and I wondered if that was his female socialisation it probably wasn’t written deliberately with that in mind but I noticed how it was different from how Male characters usually react to being told to leave by a woman.

Yes that's a good point actually IStandWithPosie. If that had been Marlon for example, he'd have harassed Victoria endlessly until she gave in (like he did with Jessiiiiiiiiieeeeee).

Exactly. I’m thinking of Ross, Pete, David, Joe etc. They would all plead or move into her physical space, or throw some angry comment at her before leaving. Matty just went. It would be nice to think the writers were writing with that in mind but I don’t think they are. I think it was just how they wrote the scene but I like the way it went.

Maybe soaps are realising that sometimes "quietness" is more effective than over the top shouting scenes. Which is why Chas n Paddy quietly leaving the party yesterday was so much sadder than the music stopping, Faith making a scene etc.

Oh that scene where paddy said “this is it” was so hard hitting. They’re driving off to meet, and say goodbye, to their child.

Totally agree about Faith. Can’t stand her awful gurning either or her obvious cosmetic surgery. I thought she looked ok for her age, thinking she was probably 70-ish, until I googled her and discovered she’s only 58

Faith is 58 Wow. Apologies as I hate to make personal comments about an actress's appearance but...I thought she was a least a decade older...

I always find Faith's lack of self awareness bemusing. when she talks about motherhood and seeing your kids grow up, I'm like "whaaaaaat?"

Chas or Cain are usually scripted in to say "as if you'd know" or similar whenever she dispenses advice about raising kids.

Maybe faith is made to look older

The actress playing Chas is breaking my heart- very well done I think.

I saw Faith in an episode of Father Brown, she looked different. So I looked her up, I think she's had too much work done, and it does age her.
