Well, I jinxed Stan.

Just going back to the crowd thing - I'm watching Goerges (no9 seed) v Makarova (former top 10?), and there's hardly anyone there at all. Is it the heat, do you think??

Private it could be, it's hard enough for the players- sitting there for hours would be difficult too.

Delpo is up next on Louis Armstrong. I read Sloane Stephen's was very scathing about her experience on the court after her first round match. For a start, as the defending champion, I think she thought she should have been on Ashe, no matter how swanky Armstrong is meant to be. But she said it was really noisy, and the concessions stands and subway are too close in the middle 'tier'.

Seems it's all about the food- but if they aren't getting butts on seats, they need to get their money from somewhere they need slogan t-shirts. .

Having said that, I've abandoned them now to watch Delpo!

Huh so the American commentators obviously don't say anything during the change of ends as they're showing ads, presumably, in the US. It's lovely and restful!
