Anderson is through - feel Shaggy was a bit hard done by with that overrule but Anderson played well.

Phew! Rafa through as well. That was a tense match.

Just caught the very end of the Rafa match. What a sad sight, that shot of Kachanov walking down the tunnel!! He looked so downhearted. He's not going to get any closer than that is he?! Glad Rafa got through though, loved his interview!

I love Rafa's interview's - he talks so fast- I don't think the crowd get half of what he says .

Fancy asking him about the roof as the first question though Brad Gilbert (I think that's who it was). How about "wasn't that a great match?"!!

I loathe Brad Gilbert. His Autobiography (which dh has) is called 'Winning Ugly', describes him perfectly.

Of course Rafa hates the roof- he likes outdoor tournaments. Ask your mate McEnroe about roofs. Or Roger.

So Venus and Serena aren't even starting until 12.45 - so there's no way I'm going to make it for Delpo. But I really want to watch that match... Maybe I should set myself an alarm for about 2.30ish?! (This US Open could end in divorce.... )

I would love to stay up land watch more but I'm not sure I can keep my eyes open.

(Dh isn't into tennis, I'm not sure why he has the book- it's on his shelf of soft ball books.Of which he has a lot)

The scheduling at the US open is rubbish. But at least todat there isn't a two hour gap. But clearly done so they can have 2 tiers of tickets, I imagine, (I'm guessing though- maybe that's how they make money- very expensive night match tickets). which doesn't happen at Wimbledon as far as I know? From memory (long time ago) you have a ticket, you have it for the court for the day.

Although at ATP final in london they have day and night tickets. It's a way to make more money as you say.

Yes that was the case when we went Raahh. I don't like the two sessions either - Aus Open does it too don't they?

Woke up just before 5am and Delpo v Verdasco was still going on, so I watched the last few games of that. Looked like a close match, even in the last couple of games Verdasco was getting close on Delpo's serve. Still, good result for Delpo.

I fell asleep watching Rafa woke up about 2am with my face pressed into the iPad and saw he'd won....phew.
Poor Stan though :(
