OITNB series 6 *spoilers*

Just finished episode 6 and I’m really enjoying this series so far! Anyone else binging it?

I'm on episode 11 so not much left. I've never been that bothered about Aleida but she's had some wonderful lines this season!

God, Flores crying in the line and Diablo waiting with flowers just about finished me off 😢 and poor Taystee. POOR Taystee. Why didn’t Cindy and Suzanne speak up and say they saw the police plotting?! Gah. If they give Taystee the death sentence I will never forgive the writers. Poussey dying was the most tragic thing I’ve ever seen on TV-I couldn’t take Taystee dying too.

Also, I don’t understand Barb and Carol teaming up against Frieda. Why does Barb hate her? Frieda betrayed Carol, so she did Barb a favour, surely!

Oh wait duh, I forgot the flashback that explained that.

Yeah, Frida betrayed them both didn't she? Got them both a lot of extra time

Betrayed Carol but Carol thought it was Barb, hence the original giant fight, which got both C and B the extra time.

I actually had a nightmare about their poor little sister last night!

Finished last night. My heart broke for Taystee and Blanca and I was just waiting for something to scupper Piper!

Why did Cindy keep quiet? I get why she didn't feel able to change her testimony at the last minute but why didn't she speak up back at the beginning? Would she have just been in more trouble for hiding during the storming of the prison? I guess they may not have believed her anyway.

Regarding Blanca, when she was talking to Diabolo, he mentioned his green card so I thought it was only an issue for him, so that was a shocker.

I think Cindy was just scared to take on the system and accuse the soldiers of murder. Who could blame her 😢

I thought this series was really good, much better than S5. Mixing the characters up into the different blocks was an excellent idea, and brought fresh interest.

So sad for Blanca at the end.

Until we saw Lorna's bump, I wasn't 100% certain the pregnancy was real. She has form for being a fantasist.

Just finished the last episode. I loved it. It took a few episodes to get going and I was worried initially about the tone but it turned out to be much better than the last series. In particular I thought the contrast between Piper and Taystee’s stories was really clever.

Like another poster I thought Lorna might have been faking the pregnancy, I was only convinced in the last episode!

Can’t believe I’ve got to wait for probably another year for season 7 now though. That’s the trouble when you binge watch it all in a few days. I managed to resist downloading handmaid’s tale and have watched it once a week instead and so I’ve had 3 months of my other favourite TV show

On episode 8. How have they given Red a full head of hair ??

What I don't understand about Carol and Barb killing each other at the end is is seemed they were killed with their own weapons. Carol had a screwdriver and a knife type thing, and the screwdriver was in her back, and the knife didn't look sharp enough to put that cut on Barb. Whereas Barb had the razor which would have cut her in that way. My DS has a theory someone else was there.

whitetulip ooo I missed that. I’d agree with your DS that someone else was there (Frieda?) or maybe they put the weapons down to get changed, had an argument and just grabbed what was closest?

What did Freida actually do to carol and barb? Did she set up the kickball fight, get them extra time and then do a runner? Was that it? That slightly confused me. Though i can't see how extra time would have made much of a difference to carol and barb, assuming they were both serving life for murder.

I also had an inexplicable attraction to Daddy too. I mean I have found women attractive in the past but she is different... can't put my finger on it

Frieda gave up Carol’s drug stash (and info?) in order to get herself sent down to Litchfield; Carol thought it was Barb who’d betrayed her and set up the kickball fight; they both got extra time as a result of the fight.

Carol and Barb are the best. I want a whole show about them and Frieda in 80s Lichfield. Who else might have been there? Rosa? Young Healey?

The show is back for at least one more season so that might wrap it all up tbh. I love it but it seems like it's coming to an end.

The fact that Piper mentioned her memoir suggests that the next season may be a wrap.

I don't know much about the US legal/justice system but is t the death penalty illegal in New York State. In which case, how could Taystee get it?

I'm a straight woman but would absolutely be daddy's prison bitch in a heartbeat!! It's not just me then?!
