Also meant to say, rewatched the last Nadal/DelPo set properly after the football had finished. Wow! It was amazing, such outstanding tennis and lovely hug at the end. They are great.

Ostapenko has just broken back though

I really like Ostapenko! Her reaction after breaking back was brilliant - all fiery attitude. Love it!

Oh Ostapenko - the wheels came off.

Bagel was the Rafa-Delpo match on iPlayer? I could only find some highlights. I might re-watch it, when I feel able!

BJK's comments are making me cry!! She's saying how she dreamt of playing at Wimbledon when she was a kid, and she use to take her racquet and books about tennis to bed with her! Love it.

I agree, I love this thread, only recently found it and I love how knowledgeable and fun you all seem.

I'm stuck at work! Hopefully I can get home in time to catch the second semi, but the good news is I'm off tomorrow so will be glued all day. I'm hoping for a Rafa/Anderson final.

Is it too much to ask that they get Andy Murray to commentate?

Ah Jana Novotna tribute. My hero ❤

Aww Jana. It's unbelievable that she's gone. Same age as me.

I'm trying to get as much done as I can today so that I won't miss anything from tomorrow on.

Well done Kerber.

Well, I'm back from the dentist, before i have to go out again in 10 minutes to take dd2 to Rainbows Grin

(She may have to have a couple of teeth out- the adult ones can't come through properly or something). One very unhappy child. Sad

I'm sad I missed the Jana tribute. I loved JanaSad

So much for my predictions so far Grin.

I predicted Cilic and Kvitova Raahh - so that was over by the first week!!

Bagel I found the Rafa-Delpo match on iPlayer on my laptop - doesn't seem to be the same on our TV, I don't know why (probably just me).

I adored Jana too, such a lovely woman Sad I thought the tribute was lovely and very tasteful.
Sorry to hear your dd needs teeth out raahh I hope she's not too worried.
I have rather stupidly scheduled a trip out tomorrow for a whole group of ds's friends so no tennis for me so I shall be relying on you all to keep me posted, you're better than Eurosport Grin

Sorry to hear about raahh Jnr's teeth. I am an utter dental coward & of all the works I've ever had done having teeth out was the least disagreeable.

This channel swapping mid match really annoys me. Why do they need to?

The Jana tribute was lovely.

This thread (& a bit on the weather threads) are just about the only places I post on MN these days.

Thank you everyone. I've dropped DD2 off at Rainbows and m hoping that she will forget about her teeth for a bit.

They are making slime Hmm.

Private I have decided Djok and Isner can win now.

(if I say anything else, then I will ruin everythingGrin)

Oh dear Raahh - hope your DD is ok.

I'm just watching the fifth set of Rafa-Delpo and am not going to say anything as you've probably all said it all already last night!! However I would just like to ask: did Rafa kiss that woman's hand when he fell into the crowd?! If so, how could he manage to be so chivalrous Grin in the absolute midst of that match - and that game in particular?! I'm like this Shock

Oh god - slime making is the bane of my life right now!! At least she is making it outside the home Raahh!!

Raahh · 12/07/2018 16:48

Private she has been desperate to do it, and a group of them managed to convince the leader it was a good idea Grin

No way was she doing it here Grin

My DGC (3) is coming for a visit soon (mega excited) & doting granny though she'd get in the stuff to make slime with her. Is this a really bad idea?

Report
PrivateParkin · 12/07/2018 17:11

It's fine really magi but my DS likes to use loads of food colouring Hmm which goes everywhere. So I would just use an old ice cream tub or something to mix it in, put loads of newspaper down etc.

Glitter is good to put in it apparently, although we haven't tried that!

magi I can give you the "recipe" for fluffy slime if you like (my niece's favourite!).

I am not using glitter. We bought this house years ago of a lovely couple who had 3 under ten year olds. It was left beautifully clean but for the first 5 years or so I kept finding tiny bits of glitter on the wood floors & edges of carpets!

(Sorry for thread hi jack)
