(We're going to need a new thread soon)

Just think- it could have been Isner today.ShockGrin

I might have been less inclined to watch. And I always watch Grin. Even when Djok played Federer those couple of years- I wasn't bothered who won, but Roger was being coached by Stefan, so it was worth watching just for that Grin

Watching the final with no horse in the race is quite relaxing. If Rafa were playing today, I’d be a bag of nerves.

I love seeing youthful pirate Rafa. Was thinking the other day that he looks very battle-scarred and weary now.

And the shine has gone off him a touch since I learned he’d had a hair transplant...

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:01

Kevin could definitely not do the bouncy thing that Rafa does, before going on court. His head already hits that bit of the ceiling Grin

Did he TheOnly? I don't think it's worked!

Raahh hope things improve for you.

I love Mac/Borg era for clothes style. They look so cool!

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:04

My nerves have been terrible, the last couple of days theonly.

I'm not fussed by the hair transplant thing, if it makes him happy Grin.
It's better than Agassi's wig Grin

Aww, lovely coin toss and pictures.

The distinguished guests in the Royal Box; do they pay for their seats, or are they specially invited?

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:06

Jane thank you. Sorry to whinge a bit- the last 8 months or so have been very difficult.

So I come onto these threads and wax lyrical about Rafa's thighs. It's nice escapism.

And yy- it's not the best transplant in the world. I think it might have been a bit rushed- not enough time between tournaments to get it done properly!

I'm here and ready :)

JaneJeffer · 15/07/2018 14:08

It must be terrible losing your hair. Although I lose tonnes of the stuff and still have a wild looking head full, especially in this humidity we have.

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:10

Jane I've always had masses of curly hair, but it's started thinning and has lost about a third of it's volume over last year (medication is the culprit)- I'd definitely pay to have my old hair back, and I wouldn't care!

JaneJeffer · 15/07/2018 14:11

eddie I doubt if they pay (freeloaders).

Here we go!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 15/07/2018 14:11

I’ve missed all the royal box guests and that’s my favourite bit. Did just see Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne though.

Bloody AC commentating: why can’t we have Mac?

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:11

Oooh!

Here we go.

Mac always does US TV for the final.

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:13

Mac will be commentating for the US networks.

Yay! Boris.

Hopefully they will sit on AC and gag him later.

Kev is nervous.

Last year's final was so disappointing- very really sorry for Marin.

OP posts:
TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 15/07/2018 14:15

I know he does US TV, I was just whinging... DH is already shouting at AC...

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:19

It's becoming a national sport TheOnly , at AC.

Whinge away. It's a safe space here. Why does my autocorrect think away is not a word?Confused

PrivateParkin · 15/07/2018 14:21

Raahh I'm still upset about what happened to Marin last year Sad

Merrylegs · 15/07/2018 14:22

Am late to this but chipping my two penny worth in. DS been working at Wim all fortnight (backstage and on court with players) and says Anderson has been consistently the nicest guy, so I'm going to cheer him on today and hope it won't be a complete fail for him!

JaneJeffer · 15/07/2018 14:26

He seems lovely Merry and has lovely eyes.

PrivateParkin · 15/07/2018 14:27

That is good to know Merrylegs - I like hearing things like that Smile

Raahh · 15/07/2018 14:27

Merry that's lovely to hear. He definitely comes across as nice bloke- and he was so overwhelmed after his semi final with Isner.

Jane my auto correct doesn't like whinge either Grin I ignore it.
