Quick bit of time to pick berries before the women's match (currants will have to wait till tomorrow).

I don't mind who wins this next match.I really like Kerber, but think it's amazing that Serena is here 10 months after such a difficult birth (blood clots in the lungs and a pulmonary embolism). That's incredible, IMO.

What a semi final. I hope Kev isn't too shattered for tomorrow. He seems such a nice guy, hopefully he can give it a good go.

I do think, (little consolation though it is) that it's further than I expected Rafa to go.

I just wish he'd made the final.

Sorry that Rafa lost but I honestly think that was one of the best matches I've ever seen. The tennis was incredible.

I feel like I spent the past few months, since the start of the clay season, getting stressed about Rafa.

I think I need a couple of weeks off .

I am really tired. I want to watch the women's final- but I don't , at the same time.

I just hope Kerber wins.

I haven't watched much as I'm on holiday. I did see a bit of Isner - Anderson and it was the worst advert for tennis ever. Aside from the fact it then became a battle of attrition I really cant see anything to commend it. I know it was the result of particularly unusual weather in the run up to the tournament but I seriously hope it never happens again.

As for Rafa - Nole - I didn't see any of it but I'm glad Nole won. He has a better grass court game - he plays more assertively and more tactically. So although I'm not too keen on his personality it's a good result for me and I'll be supporting him (though not watching) tomorrow.

For the ladies I would probably on balance prefer Angelique to win. I dont think its good for the game that Serena can win in the way she does, with just a serve and heavy ball striking. I do think she's totally justified the decision to seed her though.

really wish that Rafa had made it to the final - I did think Djokovic would come through though - was a brilliant match - poor Rafa.

Don’t think I’ll watch the final - I would if I was at home but it’s all a bit too much effort here. Hoping that Anderson won’t be too overwhelmed in the final having been in the us open final (although he didn’t win it ).

He just seemed pleased to be in the final at the us open but I think he’s changed as a player since then. Not sure if I can see anyone beating Djokovic in his current form though.

Oh and I meant to say earlier that it pisses me off the way they always ignore Martina's wife when she's in the Royal Box.

Kerber could win this if it goes to 3 sets. She needs to keep the points long, run Serena around as much as possible and hope she runs out of fitness.

OK. Having watched the beginning of the match and seeing their different styles of play, I've decided that I'd prefer for Kerber to win. Serena being in the final is cool enough.

Jane dh is keeping out of my way- (he has been watching the football on his computer).

It's on in the kitchen here. I may have to move when DS1 gets back from work because there's Gaelic on too.

Kerber is making this into a contest, which is what it should be. Too many of Serena’s opponents in finals have been overawed, and demolished by the great woman.

I've let DH have the Gaelic on the big tv in the sitting room, I'm in the other room with the tennis. DS is having to watch England v Belgium online as we've pulled rank on him
