Good God... how did they win best soap? The best soap is Molten Brown. Fact. (Lime and Patchouli, specifically!) What with dozy Rosie, booed Jude and airy-fairy Rosemary... think we'll all be reaching for the remote control by the time Jude has emerged from his kennel!

So at least five, possibly six bedrooms upstairs in the Rovers but not as many as Eileen's, which seems to be bigger than the Tardis.

kikashi · 25/06/2018 07:18

I think the moving walls depend on the story. On occasion people have had to sleep on the sofa. When Liz had the pub a few years back, Steve and Michelle lived there, Amy had a room and Liam was a lodger - so 4 bedrooms I suppose. When Bet and Alec had the pub they seemed to just have one bedroom and a spare guest room.

The kitchen is also an issue Bet and Alec talk about "the other kitchen" now and again (assume a commercial kitchen) and I remember Michelle mentioning one but we only ever see the silly alcove one and once saw Sean take hotpots out of the tiny fridge there and check dates (not very hygienic). Toyah and Peter seem to have given up the pretence that food is produced at all in the pub.

ellenanora5 · 25/06/2018 13:02

I think Steve and Liz will find the money from somewhere and buy back the pub, I hope they do, and give Moira a job Grin Peter and Toyah are not pub landlords.

MrsSteveMcDonald · 25/06/2018 16:23

Yes I'm hoping my Steve will get his pub back.

Clionba · 25/06/2018 16:33

Steve, Liz and Moira in the Rovers!! Dream Team Grin!!

Deadringer · 25/06/2018 16:46

Peter and Steve need to swap their shares in the pub/cab office, and Liz and Toyah need to swap jobs, then all will be well. (And Moira can pop into the pub every day to bitch to Liz about Toyah's moany face).

clearysclock · 25/06/2018 17:17

Any man that works at the rovers has to wear the obligatory tea towel over his shoulder, i suppose to make them look busy. Grin

cloudyweewee · 25/06/2018 17:29

Jack Duckworth was too much of a man to wear the tea towel- he went for a full blown apron.

Thesearmsofmine · 25/06/2018 18:22

Yes to Steve, Liz and Moira in the pub! Hope the Corrie team are reading this thread.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/06/2018 20:03

Oh, I remember when Bet&Alec owned the pub, they had to pay £££ to upgrade the kitchen to allow them to serve food (Alec Gilrpy nearly chocked on his ciggy Wink )

The pub must be massive upstairs though- the whole footprint of the bar itself , the lounge in downstairs , the pub loos are downstairs, so if upstairs has the same area they could easily have 5 + bedrooms?

SgtFredColon · 25/06/2018 20:30

Sophie’s a bit bossy isn’t she!

cloudyweewee · 25/06/2018 20:33

Where's her clipboard? Shock

clearysclock · 25/06/2018 20:56

Peter and Toyah have to be the worst landlords of the Rovers ever. No banter with the regulars., no involvement, Toyah has as much charisma as a wet dishcloth......and why in the name of goodness would an alcoholic choose to work in a pub. Get Liz and Steve back, their comedy scenes were brilliant.

CoolCarrie · 25/06/2018 21:08

Moira was in Unforgotten series 2 last night, playing a pathologist.

SgtFredColon · 25/06/2018 21:13

So is that money that Flora inherited the money Vinny scammed off everyone on the street.

millimat · 25/06/2018 22:53

I've not watched tonight's (if it's been on) but why don't seb and his mum just rent Eileens house? Hmm

redshoeblueshoe · 25/06/2018 22:58

Sgt that's what I thought. Surely the police would be involved.

SgtFredColon · 25/06/2018 23:01

Well considering detective Daniel did all that research you’d think he’d have copped on but he didn’t do any ‘suspicious face to camera’ acting.

SgtFredColon · 25/06/2018 23:02

millimat because that would make far too much sense for Corrie.

redshoeblueshoe · 25/06/2018 23:19

Sgt I completely forgot that. I think that's the problem with doing so many dramatic stories, the writers can't keep up with themselves Grin

CatherineCawood · 25/06/2018 23:49

Also Flora was deemed to be unfit to live on her own so was in a nursing home? She seems pretty with it these days?

Clionba · 26/06/2018 06:10

Yes, Flora seemed to have improved from living in the nursing home to now being quite capable and independent.
That discovery of Kayla's notebook was like something from The Famous Five! "I must get Bethany" "Craig is on my side"!! Laughable.

Clawdy · 26/06/2018 07:39

Flora has had a complete personality change. She was a dithering and deluded old lady, but is now apparently a wise, kind grandmother character, giving advice to a beaming Daniel and Sinead !!
