Not much longer to wait out for the Nigeria episodes! Some of us are still mourning the death of Elvis.

Ilove - a bit like Sharpe having a direct line to Wellington, I suppose.

Not sure he would have taken much persuading, Rhu. But his arrival did seem very quick after his rehab and there can’t have been that much time passed between 2 Section going to Bangladesh and CJ arriving. But yes, it’s only a drama and there would be no drama if he had to spend another 6 months recovering. And because it’s a drama and not a soap, there is no reason Molly and CJ couldn’t have had their happy ever after off-screen. CJ could still have suffered PTSD without this Georgie infatuation!! Sorry, went off on a bit of a rant there!

Morning all! Have now seen this week's Ep and enjoyed reading back your comments from last night, most of which I agree with.

Goes without saying but I'll say it anyway that I thought CJ looked damned hot in his gym gear but agree - why did Georgie hand deliver the card when she's been ignoring him for six months and doesn't want to see him again

Bones continuing to be the pantomime villain, with no idea of how to be human being. His only redeeming moment was the apples and oranges chat with Fingers. Also, I can't understand how he can have a beard, I thought they were banned in the army? At one point towards the end of the ep, he looked like he'd scrubbed up a bit and almost had a proper shave, and then in the next scene, he had more beard again (bad continuity?). It's a bit of a bug bear of mine cos I've noticed it with CJ in the last couple of series - not that I'm complaining about CJ with a bit of stubble

The demise of Bones reminded me of Elvis' and the way he just seemed to look at the bomb forever rather than running away. Is it an SF trait Yes, the bloodied medals bit was rubbish. Also, no way would the family (esp 2 young children) be flown halfway across the world to bring body back! That's what Brize Nor'hun's for. Talking of the body, what was in the coffin anyway? Can't be much left if he's holding an exploding bomb against himself

Agree, having the Brig out there and him interacting with 2 Section, with apparently no ranks in between is bollocks!

Ruby looks about 14 years old! Has his voice broken yet? Also, can't see him in next week's cast list on BBC OG website.

Re CJ breaking his promise....he may have been persuaded not to leave the army they must be desperately short of reliable captains! but he won't have been given a choice of posting without having to go into the tangled details of his love life.

I think that's enough for now! Went to Wimbledon with DS yesterday. Great day but very hot! DS is back there again today with DH, so I have a peaceful day to myself Off to Sicily Tuesday, so no more OG for me for a while, although I will try to keep tabs via you guys and other SM. Will try to record rest of series but if BBC keep buggering around with the scheduling because of some bloody football game, my recorder will go wibble and fail to keep up! It did it with Poldark last week and didn't record

It's years since I went to Wimbledon. Did you have tickets for one of the main courts or did you just wander round at will?

It's been baking hot today and my neighbour asked me to go fruit picking with her. Fortunately, I had a high factor suncream on and a hat. It was pretty hard going. I now need to decide what to do with it all!

Thanks ilove we're going back to the same place we went to a couple of years ago. Yesterday, we had No2 Court tickets but also wandered around a bit. Today, they had No1 Court tickets. Just got back from picking them up from the railway station!

Granted, it's not a beard compared to Spanner but it's not cleanshaven!

Morning all!

Well it looks as if there will be no Our Girl this week. Checking the schedules, BBC are showing football tonight and aren't screening it on Wednesday - a certain football match plus their other new drama on BBC 2 being notable factors. I guess we'll just delay a week but that's awkward with the previews/TV guides out for next week. Never mind, can't be helped.

Update to previous post. I understand the next episode has now been rescheduled to 9pm on Friday 13th - fingers crossed!

Hhmm, well that's all well and good but bugger all use to me when I flew to Sicily this morning and can do nothing about recording it! I know, I know I'm lucky to be here and priorities and all that, but bloody hell Enjoy Fri and I'll have to try to get the gist of what happens from you lovely ladies!

Paddington - every time your name comes up, it makes me smile. I so loved the Paddington films! It reminds me of taking my friend's little boy to see the first film and it was the first time he'd ever been to the cinema and was thrilled to bits.

Sunday should be fine for me. Unless I forget it!

I might watch the WC final, too --I'll have to cheer for the French AND the Croatians! The French because they are our neighbours, and the Croatians because they are in the Final for the first time ever. So any which way, my team will win :-).

I keep forgetting it's on tonight. Will give you my thoughts afterwards although I'm beginning to dread each episode out of fear for what CJ will say next!

kazza I think the cannoli were my absolute weakness and some of the almond biscuits. The arancini were a bit much for me after a while. Mustn't forget the ice cream either. 'Fraid the limoncello wasn't for me. I'm not a huge fan of liqueurs really. Hope you're having a lovely time.

It's been cooler here today and we had quite a lot of rain overnight but supposed to get hotter again over the weekend.

I suspect that OG may be in doubt tonight! BBC2 has just moved the tennis to BBC1 so that they can show the first night of the proms live and now we have Djokovic V Nadal live on BBC1 and they are only in the first set. I can't see them showing OG unless they put it on iplayer to view. I bet Clare Balding announces something at about 8.55 pm along the lines it won't be on or could it possibly be shown much later tonight. Apparently they can only play until 11pm at Wimbledon. If it goes on that long I don't think they'll show it.

Confirmation - no OG tonight. Next episode on Tuesday as usual - just a week behind. So all we have to view now is Djokovic bouncing the tennis ball around 11 times between points and Nadal's multitude of nervous ticks. Brilliant players but it's better not to watch too closely.

Wimbledon is overrunning so no Our Girl! Aaaaagh.

Why couldn't they just put it on iplayer? Its all about flipping viewing figures.

The previous semi-final went on far longer than anyone anticipated though it was pretty good viewing, I have to say.

So when the tv listing mags come out next week we’ll have the preview for the final episode???? That’s gonna be hard not to have a sneaky peek!!!
